If I wad Taylor, I'd be raging with auld Bob there. Clearly raging he won.
Also not a chance I'd fight in Murica again unless it's a guaranteed KO. He was about to be robbed last night, if he fights Crawford, he's never getting a fair crack at it.

I have thought for many years now that non American fighters need to start demanding fights be held in neutral countries. The American fighters need the non American as opposition too and the non American fighters need to know their value as well and use it.

Problem with this is it's a 2-way street - Ray Beltran was robbed back in Glasgow in a terrible decision against Ricky Burns a few years back, made me ashamed it was in Scotland!!

Taylor's win vs Postol was also overly wide on the cards. Home-cookin' happens everywhere unfortuantely!

Of course it does. But I’d still hold out as much as possible. Without the knockdowns, last night is officially a draw and I clearly saw Taylor win.

 Are you talking about like an "Over/under 5.5 rounds" prop bet? That has to do with gambling, not scoring. They have for some time used half-point scoring in about half of Latin American countries (and some places in Africa), with the WBA the only sanctioning body AFAIK to sanction its usage in world title matches...but that would still be under the umbrella of 10 point must. So if you lose a round but don't get dominated, the other fighter gets it 10-9.5 instead of a full point separation of 10-9.

If you did mean betting, the concept of an over/under is ridiculously simple but somehow trips a lot of people up. To win an over 5.5 rounds bet, the round clock needs to exceed 90 seconds (1:30) into the sixth round. Because, you know, five and a half rounds would then have gone by. If only a minute and twenty-nine seconds goes by, the Over prop loses and those who bet on the Under win.

People often think it means halfway into round 5, which is actually silly, because halfway into round 5 would be 4.5 rounds completed, hence the bet would be called over/under 4.5 rounds.

Great fight, but what happened to Taylor in later rounds? He was still quick on his feet, but he was barely throwing and hugging a lot. Injury or just not enough killer instinct?

Pretty simple and obvious answer there: Ramírez's body work. Sufficiently effective to make Taylor's quality dip in the final third, but not even close to enough to change the outcome.

I wonder how the fight could have turned if Ramirez didnt had a brain fart resulting in the second knock down. After this KD happened i remembered what referees always say "protect yourself at all times"

Check post-fight interview, Taylor's had was busted up - suspect that had a fair bit to do with it - plus thinking he was well up with the 2 knockdowns

    Round 1 - Lundy 10-9 Close
    Round 2 - Zepeda 10-9
    Round 3 - Lundy 10-9
    Round 4 - Zepeda 10-9
    Round 5 - Zepeda 10-9
    Round 6 - Zepeda 10-9
    Round 7 - Zepeda 10-9
    Round 8 - Zepeda 10-9
    Round 9 - Lundy 10-9 Close
    Round 10 - Zepeda 10-9

    Zepeda 97-93

Meh type fight, especially compared to Zepeda's brawl with Baranchyk. Zepeda looked drained in this fight and allowed Lundy to be competitive with him. Zepeda needs to move up to 147 pounds and try to utilize his physical strengths as well. It's annoying to see such a strong and powerful guy constantly fight at mid-range against opposition like Lundy tonight.

Although I expect Zepeda to stick around at 140 just a little longer to either secure a Taylor fight or get a shot at the soon to be vacant belts.

People seem to forget Ramirez was getting his fair share of punches in too. The knockdowns made people forget that.

    1. I think he was bothered by some of Ramirez's body work. Ramirez also landed a couple of shots upstairs that seemed to rattle Taylor and male him more defensive
    2. He was apparently operating with a swollen left hand in the later rounds.
    3. He seemed to be under the impression that he could coast a bit toward the end after scoring two kd's and winning some other rounds pretty clearly.

Last nights 5live team all had it a draw (minus the KDs) give or take.. I can't find 6 rounds for Ramirez.. Taylor was picking him off all night & making it look easy at times, though JR was game & it was competitive it wasn't a draw type fight .. Probably coasted a little towards the end but overall it was a clear Taylor win for me even without the KDs.
