First fight was very close not sure where the robbery talk is from. 2nd fight yeah I’m sure it wasn’t that overhand right that finished Kovalev.
They called Golota the Foul Pole for the low blows against Riddick Bowe but he was no different to what Ward was doing. Ward was deliberately punching low & Weekes ignored it. The ironic part was Weekes did say once in the first round " Keep em up Andre". But it seemed he'd been told to ignore them after & thats exactly what he did. It was blatant
Thats not a bad score card. the first few rnds were close and Taylor took the safe route on rnds 11 and 12. The right man won on his card.
I gave Ramirez 3, 5 and 11; 117-109 Taylor. It was competitive until the 6th but wasn't remotely close after that (even with the 24 and 22 seconds of recovery time for the round 6 and 7 KD's respectively).
I think anything closer than 116-110 Taylor is too generous to Ramirez. The problem with Ward's card is that he has Ramirez 3-1 after 4. It was the other way around. Ramirez only won the 3rd.
Ward gave JCR round 2. I thought Taylor won that round easy. JCR was having success in spurts but Taylor was more consistent throughout the rounds
I had it 116-110 Taylor, Ramirez got a second wind in the last 4 rounds but every time Ramirez landed something on Taylor, Taylor responded with better shots of his own. The coasting Taylor did in the last rounds made the fight seem closer than it was, Ramirez was never out of the fight but Taylor was clearly the better man.
Doesn't matters that much, at all he retired after these fights and this despite possible talks about fight vs prime Beterbiev. He didn't accomplished much at LHW and was hometown boxer - tickets seller in U.S " Gloves won't travel " boxer. Almost all his career he was lighter than LHW boxers, okey, I will remove also his fight vs Kessler from his resume for me. So minus 3 fights for sure. Still without these fights his resume had been very impressive + he is also Olympic Gold medalist, he was amateur superstar.
