The best outcome from this unfortunately fiasco is we get AJ vs Usyk which is a very interesting fight which 99% of boxing fans would love to see.

I'm confident AJ comes through that, and then a fight against Fury pre Christmas.

I think Wilder is a far greater risk to Fury than Usyk is to AJ, the way he is being underestimated and written of in the 3rd fight. I've been far from impressed by anything Fury has said or done the past 6 months. The past few months especially his life has seemed to be some sort of bizarre circus while AJ has been diligently, quietly going about his work.

AJ vs Whyte would be pointless and massively underwhelming IMO despite the build up it would generate. I don't rare Whyte at all (never have) and I actually think a fight between them now is less competitive than before, not more...

 

Would certainly prefer Usyk, but Whyte is still a decent fight imo. I am not bothered about the Ruiz fight.

I think it was a wild goose chase for Hearn. Arum did not think for a moment he could deliver a site in the US - he has tried and failed a number of times for Pacquiao.

Be careful what you wish for. Fury seems to be in holiday mode at the moment and it only takes one punch in this division.

 

Ebanie Bridges got a black eye against Shannon Courtenay and carried on until the end, she's a lot harder than BJS who quit just because he had a little problem with his eye, she's game for anything, absolute warrior.....

For me , this is all about ESPN/PBC and Dazn.
Let Eddie do all the running around and taking his eye off the ball on certain issues.
Now any fight for Joshua is a promotional anti climax where fury v Wilder is still a big fight so Dazn are the losers here.
Arum , Warren and Haymon have played matchroom 100%.

 

It's not the first time this stuff has happened and it won't be the last. As I said, plenty of other worthwhile fights out there while these overpaid prima donnas drag this rubbish out for as long as they can.

 

The Wilder-Fury III fight was already contracted, all the details worked out for payment, nothing to negotiate.

Eddie spent months saying ‘any day now my Saudi money man is going to hand me the cash and build me a stadium,’ yet it never came through.

A judge ruled Fury had to honor the CONTRACT, which meant there was nothing to negotiate because it was already on paper, all terms agreed to.

Eddie wrote a check that he couldn’t cash in saying he could deliver a fight he couldn’t. That’s on him.

 

Yeah it’s 100% Eddie’s fault. Absolutely nothing to do with the other side who had turned down the rematch in December and said they were in their legal rights to avoid any such bout.

 

It was so obvious the arbitration was going to scupper this fight. Eddie Hearn is like the equivalent of Ed Woodward from Man United football club, gullible, very naive. Promises everything, but ultimately fails at the last hurdle. Takes too long negotiating, and is taken for a ride. Needs to set a deadline on negotiating a fight, and move on once it seems the other side is not genuine.

 

Don’t listen to Eddie’s excuses. It’s his job to do the diligence.

 

That’s terms have been agreed not a contract. Trust me...

a contract has all of the details, date, venue, who walks first, undercard funds.

none of this will have been in a presented contract before the second fight as it’s all moveable. The actual contract would have had to have legal comments and amendments and reviewed atleast 3 or 4 times before the official contract is signed. That takes a very minimum of two weeks but with a fight of this scope likely to be 4-6 weeks.

this is why Hearn knows he was stitched up. It’s impossible to have a signed contract in 3 days

 

I can understand why Hearn is annoyed. I don't subscribe to the idea that fighters 'avoid' or 'duck' one another generally, especially at this level. Promotions may try and avoid opponents and/or pick them at optimal times, but I don't believe this is necessarily down to the fighters.

I don't think in this instance Fury can seriously be blamed. His promotion however is a different story. Lots of it is down to egos.

 

Hearn was rogered by Bob that is clear to me

No one can suggest for one minute that Fury is ducking AJ. But he probably knew that Hearn was getting rogered all along.
