I for one am glad the fight is happening, you put your name on contract for rematch then you should honour it, same as if Fury signs a contract that states what his purse should be, he would expect the promoter to honour that.

Fury will be making his first ever defence of any world title, so that is certainly not bad.

We are going to see the title defended so that is excellent, it has been kept on ice too long.

I sure am not looking forward to all the trash/jive talking from either party in build up, but I can turn deaf ear to that, as it will be followed by a title fight.

Let the final part of the trilogy commence........

This is going to be an entertaining fight

Either Fury beats up Wilder worse than the rematch and retires him or Deontay lands a suzy q once in a career type punch and gets the KO

It's not a terrible matchup by any means, but a 'best of three' bout when one fighter's already 2-0 on most cards is a fairly awful consolation when we seemed to be on the verge of getting a first new undisputed champion of the milennium, via a bout between two guys with no unavenged defeats between them.

It's an almost forgone conclusion that Fury will win and win convincingly, this fight lacks any real drama 3rd time around.

But where this fight may deliver is getting to watch Wilder get his arse handed to him again. I don't think I'll ever bore of watching him get dismantled, so I'll probably watch it just for that.

I think it'll be a great fight because it feels like there's a real grudge between the two now.

Wilder is looking for revenge after the loss eate away at him and pushed him into hiding for a year.

Fury wants to punish Wilder for slowing down a payday with Joshua and make an example of him.

I'm so hoping Wilder knocks Fury out. Mostly because Fury bores the hell out of me.

In fact, I think Wilder knocking Fury out would be quite good for boxing.

    I await the hate.

My ideal would be for Wilder and Joshua to win, setting up the most exciting match the HW decision has to offer. Fury is better than either of them but doesn't bring the entertainment value, usually.

I don't see why it would be good for boxing because it would just mean the titles would never get unified because it's clear Wilder wants no part of Joshua.

The best thing that came out of Fury taking Wilder's belt is it opened up an avenue for all the belts to finally be unified with Fury facing Joshua but if Wilder gets the WBC belt back we'll back to the same old BS we saw before with Wilder talking a lot but never actually doing a thing to try and unify.

It will depend on how the fighters sell the fight. I predict a very emotional Wilder in the press conferences where he puts on a Clubber Lang impression

8 weeks out!? When's the press tour!? Maybe then we can hear Wilder speak about actually wanting the fight! The first time they are in the same room again will be interesting, what can Wilder really say to Fury after that beat down last time out? Hope it happens as at least it's a decent fight in the schedule but something tells me it won't be happening in 8 weeks time if at all!

i like that the fight is happening if the winner fights AJ within the year but that remains to be seen. if the big fights up in frequency all the better.
