If AJ does vacate WBO belt vs USYK is that a duck?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by timeout, May 25, 2021.

AJ dumps the WBO belt is a massive duck?

  1. Hell no ! AJ is just frustrated because Fury fight fell through.

  2. AJ ass just prolapsed when he heard he's fighting USYK

This fight is not looking promising atm chaps.

How would this sit in the history of HW ducks?

How would it rank in the history of ducks?

Would it be the biggest HW duck since Riddick Bowe dumped his WBC belt in the bin when Lennox stepped up.

Why would he do a trashy Riddick Bowe?

It is not as if the belt is stopping the Fury fight, Fury and his team caused that with a little help by Wilder.

If AJ did dump the belt which i am sure he will not, then any fight vs Fury would not be a unification bout, and as consequence a whole lotta money would be removed from the negotiating table.

It’s a straight up duck and unfortunately I think Hearn knows Usyk is far too dangerous, he wants his 20% from the Fury fight. He will swerve Usyk and let AJ blow whytes head off instead

If, at any point, you give up a championship to avoid facing someone, whatever bull**** you spew in public to make yourself feel better is just that; bull****. You walkin' like a duck, quackin' like a duck, and lookin' like a duck; sure as hell ain't no mongoose.

They are just arguing over percentages.

Same happened with the Parker fight.

They will settle around 33% or whatever. Plus there will be a rematch clause.

    What nonsense

Did you miss Wilders tweet where he inadvertently grassed himself up for turning down a huge offer?

I don't blame him for refusing an offer where AJ makes $90 million while he gets $10-12 million. The split has to be fair

No rematch clause if it goes to purse bid if I understand correctly, plus since the split is fixed if he needs to pay AJ he will be paying Usyk OK as well.

I believe that is a weapon Usyk is wielding against Eddie and Eddie is threatening to vacate the belt to avoid paying more than he wants to.

Nah Parker was the WBO champ so I think it's different to this situation.

I think there is a fixed % for WBO mandatorys. But I don't really know boxing contracts so there could be other additional finances to agree to.

If he vacant that belt, he is a coward and should never be considered as good champion.

Imagine if he vacant and go to US to fight Ruiz, it would be humiliating
