Teremoana Jr v Jackson Murray would have been very interesting. I saw their pro debuts & was impressed by both. Murray looks well schooled & was the national Super Heavy Amateur champ in the absence of Justis Huni. As good as he looked though, I reckon Teremoana Jr might be the more talented of the two. He appears to have size, athleticism, natural physical strength & punching power. There's still a rawness there & he's going to need a lot of work put into him, but if he does the work he could really be something. He's also got a bit of charisma about him that will play well with an audience if they get to see him a few times. If Huni is going to be the shooting star of the Heavyweight division in this country over the next few years, Teremoana Jr could be developed behind him playing the longer game. A match-up with Jackson Murray might make more sense when each has a few more wins under their belts.
Our team was happy to take that fight on in his second fight. Sadly they didn't feel the same way. I think a loss for either guy early on wouldn't mean much in the long run. A learning experience.
* Isaac Hardman vs Emanuel Carlos added to June 16. Hardman cleaning out the Aust MW scene. Hardman vs Mateo Tapia would be a potential Aust fight of the year at 168 lbs. * Zerafa no rib injury his camp say's it was food poisoning . Really ? * Sun May 30 WBC Title fight Frenchman Oubaali vs Donaire live on Fox. Same day DAZN Haney vs Linares. * Aust Boxing AM https://www.boxing.org.au/view/online/&id=xfsj6bg2oszjcrft
This content is protected Damn it. I've got a thing on, so was going to stay off here and watch it on replay later.
I see the Huni fight is being shown live on Fox on Wednesday. As someone who is just getting back into boxing(especially Aussie boxing) I’m looking to seeing how he goes. Is there anybody on the undercard worth keeping an eye on?
There's only one undercard fight on Wednesday night b/c it's a for TV special. The Headsplitter (Isaac Hardman) is being fast-tracked for a world title shot so he's worth watching. His Kiwi opponent has a good record so both fights should be worth seeing. Don't under-estimate the bloke Huni is fighting either.
Awesome, thanks for the info. Last time I was big into boxing fox always had an event on a Friday night but it seems that Aussie cards are few and far between these days which is disappointing
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised if you start following it again. Fox has really lifted its game in recent years. There hasn't been much this month but there were four big local shows in the previous month (well, commencing from 31 March) which were all well matched. That must be a record for this country. Tim Tszyu is PPV & the aim will be to flip Justis Huni onto that platform as well although not this week so enjoy.
* Bringing overseas World Champ or top contender's to our shore's look's unlikely until our border's open. Lonegran says the cost of bringing winner of Charlo vs Castano would be 250 K . That's including boxer and support team of ten. Plus cost of installing boxing ring and gym inside the property located. * Stuart Duncan no longer work's with Matt Rose. * Blake Minto https://www.theinnersanctum.com.au/tag/blake-minto/
So is that on top of whatever the purse would be Jupps? Because if thats the price tag for the whole shebang that's a steal.
Also shame Stu doesn't work with Rose anymore. He has matched some excellent fights over the years, he knows what he is doing.
