I've a couple questions regarding the fights broadcast arrangement in the UK: 1) How was the fight aired in the UK? Was it a Matchroom PPV, or a Sky PPV, or both or something else entirely. 2) Was the commentary provided by the same group who commentated for DAZN that night or was it a completely separate broadcast shown in the UK? DAZN had Sergio Mora, Ding Dong Chris Mannix, Froch, Roy Jones Jr (for a minute here and there) and some other toolbox who's name I never remember. For many fights that are shown on DAZN in the States and are also aired in UK, the commentary is done by two separate crews. I am asking all of this because I like to replace DAZN commentary with that of other crews. Thanks in advance
Not sure there was a UK commentary option - that was for Andrade v Williams. As far as I know, there was only one English-language broadcast of Canelonv Saunders, the main DAZN commentary.
Thank you for the answer. Most of the time any fights that are going to air on both DAZN and in the UK, they've been separate broadcasts as DAZN is not (unless this changed VERY recently) available in the UK, so the UK broadcasts have been handled by whomever Matchroom has their TV deal with, which I am fairly certain is Sky Sport. One example of this was the first Joshua vs Ruiz fight. DAZN had Brian Kenny, Sergio Mora, and Chris Mannix while the UK broadcast on Sky (PPV or not I don't know) had Adam Smith, Paulie Malignaggi, and Matthew Macklin on commentary. There was also an international feed that had English commentary provided by Barry Thompkins and someone else. A lot of DAZN fights, including Canelo vs Daniel Jacobs and vs Kovalev were handled in the same way.
