He needs a better marketing team around him. Somebody who can help sell him to the general public. It takes publicity to do that. In Taylor's case, that's working with a good publicist to get and keep his name in front of people.
Rubbish. Calling someone an orange X, Y or Z in Scotland very much is used as a racist term. Context matters, and calling an Asian man you don't know from Adam, an orange whatever, is clearly a racist slur. Comments like yours are hilarious, because you think that you can fool anyone on the misconception that they don't live in Scotland and/or don't have a clue about Scottish culture. In Scotland, Taylor is very much what most people would regard as a "wee ned", and not many people like "wee neds", so that might have something to do with it.
Is that why Andy Murray has been well received throughout the world, including in England where he is adored ("somehow")? Tennis is a truly global sport, and he is well received in every corner of the globe, all despite being a miserable, unattractive Scottish person with a horrible game style. Does it have anything to do with the fact that he is not what some may call a "ned" or a convicted racist?
Probably a bit like Froch he doesn't tick enough boxes for the woke liberal agenda driven media so he'll have to do it the hard way & make them pay attention.. white privilege in action right there , Joshua is so oppressed
Not for me tbh. Hearn has made more ppv cards than necessary but even in the early 80s some of the bigger fights were broadcast live in theatres only, two that spring to mind were Sibson Hagler and Bruno Witherspoon. Terrestrial only got delayed broadcasts for both. All Bruno's title efforts were ppv. Lewis was mostly ppv from Ruddock on - made him very rich. More recently Hatton and Khan got very rich on ppv. If UK boxing was killed by ppv why are they loaded? Likewise Calzaghe, Froch, Haye, Bellew and of course Joshua all minted. ITV are not putting the money in they did in the 90s with Eurbank, Benn. Taylor is still pretty new on the block, 18-0. Good chance he will sell out big stadiums for future bouts if he keeps winning, in fact definite.
Andy Murray is british though....or has been since winning Wimbledon!! He was horribly hated by many in England due to how the media portrayed him....and he also shared a 'joke' with Tim Henman at a major footie tourney that he would be supporting anyone but England. He was crucified by the media down south. He was accepted world wide for his talents a long long time before the attitude in England changed towards him
Yea, media darling Joshua can call himself from the superior race and there is no backlash but dare a scot call someone "orange". Taylor should come out as gay then the media would be all over him (no pun intended).
Don't really buy the whole anti-scottish talk. I don't feel like it's a thing. Scottish are certainly more anti-English than we are them thats for sure. Either way I don't see it as an issue.
