He’s given away more tickets to his fights than he has sold. If you want to call that conquered then that’s up to you.

I'm not sure what you mean by numbers? Are you talking about the gate on the night? If you are then you may as well write off the past 14 months where there's been no live gate but the sport didn't suffer, ppv is what they're judged on, I admit I don't know the numbers for either wilder fight but top rank or espn do not hand out 80m contracts without knowing its worth it

Try what harder? I was probably among those at one time that had been duped into thinking price was going to do something at heavyweight, I actually rooted for him & still do when he fights but to imply someone that fought Wilder twice was somehow afraid to fight Price?.....

No, when Fury retires all people will remember is that he ducked David Price.

Price looked the business back then.

That was the fight to make, but Fury went for a pointless title.

    Yes it's actually l
What was to gain from fighting price? I've no problem with the idea at one time it could've been made, even at a stretch say it should've, I just don't subscribe to the idea it never happened because Fury was scared, more money or easier route to the world titles elsewhere? Maybe, but when I see people on forums saying boxers are scared to box it just seems silly, especially in cases like this where hindsights available & ignored

Why would I quote the wilder fight if Fury is the draw as he is the one that has “conquered America”?
Fury’s fights v Wallin and Schwartz were both pre covid and both had more members of the audience who got their tickets for free than members who had payed to be there.

When he beats Joshua he won't get credit for that either as the naysayers will say Joshua had previously went life and death with a 41 y/o and was badly exposed by an overweight Mexican replacement.

You're stuck on tickets sold to 2 fights 3 years ago on the road back after a near 3 year absence, whether you agree or not doesn't matter because the fact is the difference in furys profile worldwide between then and now is night & day & he IS now a ppv draw,

That was the big domestic clash to make at that time, yet Tyson fought for the Limerick titles or whatever it was.
