A classic match for the British Empire Welterweight Title. Maybe the list should include Ralph Charles, who was kayoed by Jose Mantequilla Napoles in 1972, John H. Stracey who stopped Napoles for the title in 1975. Davey Boy Green is perhaps another one on his strong showing against Carlos Palomino in 1977.

Big problems for Brook here. Honeyghan was explosive, aggressive and had a high work rate. I see Honeyghan pulling away with his volume. Lloyd would like this match up, Brook at times is flat footed and is hittable. Spence hit Brook a lot, particularly in and out of the clinches and to the body. The Ragamuffin man would find his chances there plus he handled the speed of someone like Curry, I think he takes Brook who is more methodical and not as athletic as Curry. Wouldn't even be surprised with a tko due to a injury or just an accumulation of shots on Brook.

True, Brook has had his eye socket fractured by GGG, and Errol Spence, injury prone.

Honeyghan's style is such that he hits anything and from all angles. Just a busy busy fighter. Lots of shots in the break, uppercuts and body scuffing blows. Watching vs Curry, Honeyghan also showed the in-out foot work with quick 1-2s. Lloyd moved his head quite a lot and was full of energy. Brook is physically strong but tends to fight in spurts. I think Spence is a good fighter but Lloyd is a step above even that.

In fairness GGG is a middle weight and hard punching one at that. Brook had jump two divisions to meet him

Very cruel, The Raggamuffin Man is in his 60s now a days... But I guess he might be more tricky than Amir! ;)

I could just imagine Kell Brook watching a tape of Lloyd Honeyghan ...and thinking to himself...” This guy is Shawn Porter “
