I have to agree that Wladimir is favored over those opponents. If I was his management I'd really have been worried about Shavers, though. It might warrant a new battle plan just for that guy with the Superman punch. He could probably outbox Cooney, but Wlad's taller than Larry so he might win on fouls, when Cooney gets tired. Witherspoon's another possible upset, as is Norton. As I said, though, I'd expect him to win them all, or at least all but one.

Witherspoon, Weaver, Norton, and Shavers all have a shot.

Prime Wlad beats all of Holmes opponents besides possibly prime Mercer. Cooney and Shavers have a shot but its minimal, and Witherspoon too

    Norton wasn't shot against Holmes.
Norton had power to KO Wlad too, of course.

    This is a crucial question.

If we take him from the second Byrd win, then he has sorted out a lot of his earlier teething problems.

This might not be an entirely fair representation of how he compares to Holmes.

That's why I put Wlad in from that point. He d learnt and matured from the first Byrd ft.

If that means fighting those opponents in the same venues , with the same refs and in the same time frame as Larry , then no.

Larry fought 3 and 4 times a year. . If Klitschko fought 4 times a year with Spoon being one of those opponents he could easily catch a loss.

Shavers got through on Larry to put him down twice. Klitschko doesn't survive such a drop and doesn't have a ref to bail him out like he would in Germany.
Klitschko isn't cut out for 15 round fights without pacing himself by catching rest breaks on the others guys back.

Mils Lane reff'd Larrys fight against Cooney. Mills Lane is Wlads biggest threat in fantasy matchups. With Mills Lane in the ring Cooney would have a chance to catch Wlad with left hooks to head and body. .

Its very possible WK loses a few fights back then by DQ also

How is Shavers gonna catch Wlad late when he is laid out in probably the first three rounds? Fighting more often isn't a physical disadvantage at 4 times a year it is an advantage. Who would survive on that list in your opinion 15 rounds with Wlad no BS just pickem.

Who said late? Shavers flattened Larry in round 7.

Sam Peter was a slower version of Shavers so if he could put WK down 3 times Shavers can put him out cold.

The likes of Witherspoon and Shavers have a fair punchers chance.

Not how this works. You are saying Shavers>Sam based on speed? so Shavers>Wlad?
What does Larry have to do with the equation Wlad would wipe Shavers out quicker then Cooney if he pushed the issue.

Shavers was not iron either I would argue less durable then Wlad, less skilled, 4 inches shorter and about 30lbs lighter?

Shavers was in fine form coming into the second Holmes fight.
Would have been a very very dangerous fight for Wlad.
Far more dangerous than Calvin Brock or Ray Austin or Lamon Brewster coming off a loss and detached retina surgery.
These were the guys Wlad was getting at the corresponding stage of his reign.
Or Sultan Ibragimov, a tricky boxer but not a big puncher.
