I've just re-watched the PBC version of Fury-Wilder 1. The guy commentating is calling missed Wilder shots or hits on Fury's gloves as connects. Deontay missed so many shots in this bout. Fury-Wilder 1 IS a little closer overall than what I remembered, imo. Seen it a few times now and I've always scored it for Fury. Here's my scorecard this time. Round 1: Fury 10-9 Round 2: Wilder 10-9 Round 3: Fury 10-9 Round 4: Wilder 10-9 (close round, Wilder edged it late in the last 30 seconds imo) Round 5: Fury 10-9 Round 6: Fury 10-9 Round 7: Even 10-10 (Tight round, Fury scored with the best punch of the round and Wilder missed many of his shots) Round 8: Fury 10-9. Round 9: Wilder 10-8 (knockdown round) Round 10: Fury 10-9 Round 11: Fury 10-9 Round 12: Wilder 10-8 (knockdown round, Fury fought back but gotta give the last 10-8 Wilder imo). 114-113 Fury. This is the closest I've ever had the first Fury-Wilder bout. If I give Wilder the 7th round, it's a draw. A draw wasn't the worst result then in retrospect. What WAS bad on the night was the 115-111 card of judge Rochin for Wilder. (Shades of 118-110 Canelo with that one.) Deontay didn't do nearly enough over 12 rounds of boxing to win on the cards by 4 points. He was a little lucky to get a draw if anything. Fury dominated the rematch.
Ok, for what exactly you did give the first round for Fury? Even Robert Tapper who score the bout for Fury, gave the first for Wilder.
Fury edged the first round imo. I've just watched the first fight from rounds 1 to round 12, the whole fight, and scored each round. I'm not going over it all again!
Round 1: Fury 10-9 Round 2: Fury 10-9 Round 3: Fury 10-9 Round 4: Fury 10-9 Round 5: Fury 10-9 Round 6: Fury 10-9 Round 7: Fury10-9 Round 8: Fury 10-9. Round 9: Wilder 10-8 Round 10: Fury 10-9 Round 11: Fury 10-9 Round 12: Wilder 10-8 116- 110 Fury
For me Wilder won that round, he land a left hook that clearly have an affect of Fury, and actually land more shots than Fury, and do more in that round. To be fair our scorecards are pretty close, with the exception of the first, and that i have 3 rounds even. And btw as many shots Wilder manage to misses through the fight, Fury manage to misses a lot as well.
Just looked at the first round of Fury-Wilder 1 again. Deontay edged the first minute, then Fury started getting his jab going and finished the opening in attack. He won the last 2 minutes of Round 1 imo. Fury round for me.
Wilder won the first minute of Round 1, Fury used the jab and won the last two minutes imo. He finished the round in attack. Hey, your card is a little too much for Deontay in my opinion, but not as bad as one of the judges. Let's just say that Deontay should be happy he got a draw.
Slight bias towards Fury hahah... Have a sit down mate.. This can all be debunked by tackling your useless scoring of round 1. Being the aggressor does not automatically win you the round. I've just watched it back and it was a feeling out but Fury landed the cleaner more purposeful punches. I can timestamp all the punches landed but I won't humiliate you that much. Ultimately boxing is about clean punching, other criteria are obviously considered but when you're getting outlanded with better punches that's all that should matter. In summary - Wilder was the aggressor albeit not being very effective . Fury was landing more clean punches, made Wilder miss, fall short and scuff his punches. I wouldn't give anyone the title of ring general this round, although the best argument can towards Fury.. Yes wilder was the aggressor but Fury was controlling the distance hence being able to land the cleaner punches. Watch it back this time with Wilders pecker out your mouth
But didn't being the aggressor automatically win GGG the first Canelo fight. That and "Champion's advantage" right.
I have never claimed being the aggressor won GGG the first fight. You're just quoting the casuals who think walking forwards or backwards wins fights. And also, I think having to beat the champion definitively to get the win is a trash flawed concept. That's the same level of argument as the champion, to prove they deserve/should get the win, must dominate their opposition
You should watch it again on slow motion. The jabs you were saying Fury landed, was missing. Fury barely land a jab Wilder land left hook in the clinch clearly Fury throw 3 arm jabs in a row, but all of the 3 misses Fury throw a jab and miss Wilder miss a jab Wilder miss a right hand They are in a clinch, where Wilder land the best shot of the round left hook and Fury was shaken by that left hook. Fury partially land a jab Fury miss 3 jabs in a row Both of them throw and miss a jab Wilder misses 2 more Wilder miss a right hand Wilder block 2 Fury jabs Wilder land body shot Wilder throw right hand, that Fury weave under, but that punch still manage to connect behind the head of Fury Fury then throw a barrage of punches, and land his right hand cleanly and that conclude the round
And who the f***** said that being the aggressor automatically won you the round dude? Quote me where i said exactly the same thing!!! I have stated that saying Fury superior defense should get him the close round, can be countered by the statement for Wilder being the aggressor. And you should get a glasses. There is a good option to put it on 0.25 or 0.50 speed. But i guess there is no glasses for bias. Some of you are just scoring Fury jabs, when they are clearly barely missing, but at the same time are not scoring Wilder glancing blow and call them a miss. Fury misses almost all of his jabs in round 1, and if you can't see this, then the only one bias here is you. As i said it many time, every single one on here who followed me post, or can just check my post history, can see that so far i have never ever used a 1 good word for Wilder. So you can GTFO if you think i`m even a slight bias towards Wilder scoring this fight. And you should watch it back, but this time, without putting your head deep into Fury big fat a.. And again even the judge that score the fight for Fury, gave Wilder the one, so you can GTFO straight away !!!
I don't agree with your scorecard but am not out to discredit it as scoring can be a subjective thing I thought Fury was a clear winner but different people see different things Have a look at the third round again in the link. It starts at around 24mins in I'm curious how you found it to be even. I thought it was a clear round for Fury Have another look and see what you think This content is protected
