As an above poster pointed out:

There should be two lists. Upsets at the time vs. Upsets with retrospect. For example Ali beating Liston was a major upset at the time. With retrospect, of course everyone would make Ali a massive favorite. Same with "Upset of the Year" Donaire KO'ing Darchinyan... Then there is Wonjongkam vs Jaro and Klitschko vs. Purrity (great shout outs above by the way). Wonjongkam and Klitschko should never lose those fights... Some Upsets of the Year turn out to just be the arrival of a previously unknown superstar.

Off those not yet mentioned I would add Sugar Ray Leonard W12 Marvin Hagler

Other upsets which might not make most people’s top 10 but are probably amongst the most watchable for me.

    Breidis Prescott KO1 Amir Khan
    Marlon Starling KO11 Mark Breland
Srisaket Sor Rungvisai W12 Roman Golzalez
    Iran Barkley KO3 Thomas Hearns
Jose Luis Ramirez KO4 Edwin Rosario
    Edwin Rosario KO2 Livingstone Bramble

Not sure what the odds were, but Andy Ruiz was a huge underdog vs Joshua

    Williams KO of Miteff

The way @choklab and Kompton described him, I thought he would've been a glorified clubfighter, who never won a fight in his life, let alone against a rated fighter! Let alone one with ones over men like, Johnson, Holman, Valdez, Meredos, and a draw with Chuvalo. Man was I shocked to read the following!

"Cleveland (Big Cat) Williams, who shattered the title hopes of 7th ranked Alex Miteff with a 5th round TKO, set up a howl today for a shot at champion Floyd Patterson. If Williams ever looked as though he deserved a shot at the title, it was Tuesday night. He took command of the fight from Miteff from the start, opened a bad cut over his left eye in the 2nd, floored him for eight counts in the 3rd and 4th, and was beating him badly when referee Ernie Taylor mercifully ended it 1:32 deep into the 5th."

Lara was a 50/1 underdog vs Warrington. And my dad picked him to win the smug ****.

Most of the discussion on any boxing site is focused around the bigger men!

Jones himself losing to Johnson was arguably bigger still.

I would say, at the time, Sugar Ray Leonard's win over Marvelous Marvin Hagler was also a shocker! Nobody I knew was expecting that.
