Obviously on top of the purse, as that would have to be a seven figure sum, especially for Charlo.

No RBR for Hardman-Berridge and Huni-Tsoye?

Good wins by Isaac Hardman & Justis Huni tonight.

The Headsplitter is big & strong for a Middleweight & his skills are improving all the time. He dropped the Kiwi Butcher three times on route to an 8th round stoppage. Once from a right hand counter in the 3rd & twice more from body shots in the 8th.

Justis Huni took some hard right hands early but boxed effectively thereafter in winning a 10-round unanimous decision (99-91 twice & 98-92) against Christian Tsoye. Huni looked a bit pedestrian over the first half of the fight but I think he really needed those rounds. He actually looked sharper in the second half of the fight. Credit to Christian Tsoye who is a very tough man & never looked like being stopped.

Both Huni & the Headsplitter go again on PPV in three weeks time. Justis v Gal & the Headsplitter v Emmanuel Carlos.

OK, at least I didn't have to wait forever for the results to appear on Boxrec - Hardman TKO8, Huni UD10 (99-91x2, 98-92). Anybody watch and would like to comment on how Hardman and Huni looked? Especially the latter, what with the quick turnaround for the Gallen fight.

I don't think Huni was ever going to set the world on fire in this one. What he really needed from the fight was rounds under his belt & he got them. The thing he didn't need from the fight was to get pole-axed & he managed to avoid being hurt despite getting hit flush with hard right hands several times.

He's on track for the Gallen fight. I think he'll have far too much skill for Gal but you can't take him lightly. Gal might be able to apply more pressure than what Tsoye did but I expect him to be stopped in the middle rounds. If he's good enough to take it the distance like Tsoye did tonight, it will be a great achievement by him.

I expect Huni to fight with more intensity & menace in three weeks time. I can't see the short turnaround being an impediment to him doing that. He didn't appear injured or sustain a cut during the fight so it should be all systems go.

Both guys fought like they had other fights coming up. A little within themselves, a little reserved.

Hardman did a good job. I was a little concerned that the butcher might drag him into a scuffle and Isaac would happily oblige. But despite a couple of defensive lapses here and there he fought a disciplined fight. Just busted up and wore down poor old Roberto.

Gal might take some confidence out that performance by Huni. Only really because Justis didn't display bone crunching power and he showed some vulnerability when he was pushed to ropes. Tsyoe didn't really capitalise because I dont think he could create the room to land a "proper" shot. Whereas Gal will just throw anything he can, textbook or not. He is not as stupid as he looks when it comes to analysing fights.

Though as Sandman said I expect Huni to fight with more intensity and look sharper in a couple of weeks. No doubt he was looking past the Cameroonian a bit and supposedly he missed a bit if training because of an adverse reaction to the vaccine.

The important thing for Huni in the Gal fight I reckon is to get some more rounds under his belt. Be fast, accurate & not get hit. He need not be focused on forcing a stoppage. Particularly given there's likely to be a rematch after the Olympics. Get a good win in the first fight & go hard for a stoppage second time around.

I thought Huni did well and showed a couple of different styles through the fight, fighting at range, off the back foot and in the pocket/against the ropes. It seemed like he was practicing and training in there. Still has that very amateur style which is understandable given he will be going to the Olympics soon, so I'm not sure if he has the power to be exciting yet but he moves so well and his control of distance and defense in the pocket is great. Gal thinks he will apply the pressure but I think Huni's footwork and distance control will just frustrate Gal and he wont be as easy as Gal thinks to pressure and pin against the ropes to unload on.

Jackson says on his gram he was offered a fight on the Gal-Huni card but had to turn it down because of an injury. Hasn't been training at all.

Definitely would like to see this fight down the road.

Hopefully Big T still gets a fight on the card.

    * Sam Soliman vs Victor Nagbe July 10. Nagbe former Muay Thai World Champ is improving fast after mild upset win last fight against Terry Nickolas.
    * Lucas Browne vs German prospect Christian Thun 6 - 0 Dubai July 10.
    * Ritson vs Ponce final eliminator for IBF Josh Taylor Title Fox 507 June 13 . Look's like long wait for Paro with Taylor saying he would like defend against Catterall.
    * Let the hype begin.

I can assure you that's not the case as his trainer had contacted Stu Duncan with an alternative opponent before being told that wouldn't be happening. Fingers crossed.

The "Nrl Integrity Unit" that's a misnomer if I've ever seen one.
