He quit. Billy had no heart, he showed zero testicular fortitude, he refused to fight through the pain and go out on his shield. His legacy was defined at that moment. When faced with adversity, he could have showed the heart of a warrior and fought on. Instead, he hopped out that ring. Embarrassing. It's embarrassing for legends like Fernando Vargas to see a fighter quit like that on his stool in the biggest fight of his life. Fernando was a warrior who fought through much worse. You go out on your shield, that's what you do, you leave it all in the ring. Especially after Billy built himself up talking real tough how this was life and death for him, how he had so much heart, then he just quit.
