You may be right. I am intrigued by this fight and I think Usyk has a decent chance at winning. I would not be surprised if he poured it on late against AJ.

One thing is for sure, if this fight is close, Usyk has little chance on the scorecards. They won't risk a monster payday giving Usyk a close decision. He needs to dominate AJ to win, IMO.

Me too, I'm gutted the undisputed fight isn't going ahead, but on the flip side we have two potentially decent fights instead.

I won't be overly shocked if usyk ends up beating Joshua, as he does switch off in fights at times. I do still expect Joshua to win though, his advantages I feel out weigh Usyk's. It will probably boil down to how well Usyk can take Joshua's power, because he hasn't exactly been elusive in his last few fights and has been tagged by guys with slower hands, who are typically less accurate with shorter reach and worse timing. He will need to have a great chin because Joshua will find a home for that right hand and uppercut.

You reckon Usyk gonna go in with one arm?

Lomachenko was throwing some pretty good combinations in the late rounds with "one arm". first it was the surgery then he said the judges were biased, just some excuses. Lomas plan was to tire Lopez out and drown him in deep waters as in take him out late in the fight, but it didn't work, because Lopez conserved his stamina and used his size by fighting behind a powerful long jab, walked Loma down, shut down some of those angles and knicked the early rounds without using up too much energy, basically he outworked Loma and hurt him in the 12th.

I had it 7-5 Lopez. Also i expect Aj to fight a defensive fight by using his height and reach and i see him outworking Usyk early on due to Usyk being a slow starter. Usyk will then win more of the late rounds but i expect Aj to hurt Usyk late and win a very close UD

In a reasonably close fight, AJ wins a somewhat controversial decision.

The real fact is that A.J doesn't needs even get Usyk down for a count to win.
A.J is very good at long range like Usyk too is and if A.J will have good gas tank, he might use reach advantage to keep Usyk in distance all 12 rounds and score UD.

The way how Usyk had scored some wins in amateur and pro ranks was based on his speed and agility rather than running somewhere in large rings.

Amateurs: he then was damn agile if compare with his opponents.
Beterbiev was very experienced high level amateur boxer: european championships : 2 Gold medals and World championships : 1X Gold, 1X Silver. For sure he also had more 1 punch power than Usyk. Usyk took him with agility and timing, he is 2-0 vs Beterbiev in am ranks cos this. Not cos he had power advantage vs him, not at all.
Russo. I think most talented and experienced amateur ranks opponent Usyk had in amateur ranks.
Usyk is 1-1 vs Russo. This boxer was 2X World championship Gold medalist, 2X Olympic Silver medalist, euro medals, cups I will not bother to count and bring up here.
2012 he was a bit slower and Usyk relatively easily from 0-1 in fights vs Russo turned into 1-1 vs Russo and get Olympic Gold medal.

Gassiev he outworked I think cos he had better legs and good gameplan, he was capable to throw significantly more punches than vs Briedis and to keep Gassiev busy with his activity too much for him to allow normally set up his punches.
Briedis: wrong gameplan for Briedis and better a bit in agility, speed, a bit better legs + better am experience. Legs this Briedis too had better at HW not CW, surprisingly. This he had won really barely, mainly via jabbing.
Bellew: normally used his agility advantage and opponent's mistakes.
These I think hits harder than Usyk and it didn't had helped enough for them.

    Mistake to move at HW?
I don't think so. HW boxers Witherspoon and Chisora are slower than these CW top guys and while Usyk looks slowed down long ago, still he had this agility and speed advantage.
Such advantage he didn't had fe vs Makabu, Dorticos or Briedis if they had fought again.

Usyk won 2 fights at HW.

People are really delusional when it comes to Usyk. They listen to the false narrative and repeat like clowns.

Did you guys know that Usyk has same height and reach as ALI ? So you guys say that ALI is too little for HW ? or IT's double standards ?

It's double standards. They Say Usyk is too small then say 6'2½ 215 pound Ali schools Joshua. This is the problem. People look too much at size all the while having Nostalgia glasses on. I do neither. I think Ali is better than Usyk but not by much at all. Usyk would easily be his toughest fight behind Frazier and Norton. Joshua got schooled by 6'4 slim Erislandy Savon in the Olympics. That man was 225lb at the best, probably around 220 or less realisticly.

Heavyweights that weigh 205 pounds or more can compete with big men if they have the skills to do so. We saw 205-217 Holyfield scrap with Bowe, Lewis, Valuev and Savares. And especially Foreman. That man Foreman was 257 pounds. All SHWs. Usyk is 6'3, 217 and likely 230 now. He is plenty big enough to compete with to top heavyweights of today. Although I'd say he needs to go back down to 220 or less to maintain he mobility against these big men

They don't say A word about skills, they only say that he is too small and don't have ONE punch KO power.

It's so sad that people only watch KO's and won't appreciate the skills, angles, speed, footwork, head movement and timing that Usyk has.

Real boxing fans should be excited that guy like that is at HW now.

I think AJ will be worried at some point, but I think he will eventually unleashed a deadly combination, and I don't believe Usyk will be able to take it, as he's never dealt with that sort of power before handed to him with such skill.

    AJ KO in round 7.

Is there really that much difference in 'power' between Gassiev (for example) or Joshua? Probably not really. People look at it like it's top trumps or something.

AJ will put Usyk down in round 4 at latest. He will put the pressure on Usyk like he did to Wladimir Klitschko, and Usyk won't be able to survive it.

Usyk's punches are cotton candy for AJ, they won't even effect him a bit.

Usyk will absolutely return to cruiserweight or retire once and for all.

No idea what will happen in this....but I would definitely like to see what happens if Joshua hits Usyk with a similar uppercut to the one that nearly took Wlad's head off.

I think there is yes. KOing 13st Cruiserweights and KOing 16/17st heavyweights is a different challenge.
