Is this a joke ? LOL. Joshua is not some Joe Frazier. Joshua isnt even as good as Chisora in terms of pressure fighting so Usyk will slip and slide around Aj if he attempts that and Joshua will gas early.

CW Level Briedis is the only human in the history of our species to have sparked Manual ''Diamond Boy'' Charr out and not only that but he sparked him out cold in KO of the Decade type fashion, felling him face first like a giant redwood and leaving him sucking the canvas like an asthmatic catfish.

AJ has never sparked anyone out and he is a massive ripped to **** 245lb SHW

I have already scientifically proven that Fat Andy is not only a featherfist but that he was also a fad

Povetkin who has one of the best KO Highlight reels of recent times down at HW Level and possesses legit savage one punch KO power in both hands couldn't do that to him despite taking him out with some absolutely sublime combination punching the likes of which you rarely see down at HW Level

Vitali could only finish Charr on a cut albeit an old senior citizen past prime Vitali

Chris Arreola still to this day says the hardest he's been hit is by CW Level Gassiev in the gym. He said he hated sparring him

Let's revisit this post of mine now that Fat Andy the Featherfised Fad couldn't even hurt a 40 shot to bits Arreola

“The power he has shown me in the gym sparring against [heavyweights Dominic] Breazeale, Charles Martin, Gerald Washington, Chris Arreola, is very real,” Sanchez said. “All those guys, he’s been able to dominate and hurt. Once we get him to the heavyweight division and stabilize him at 225, 230, and put some muscle on those pounds, he’ll be very effective.''
    -- Abel Sanchez

Which HW's ribs did Gassiev break in sparring?

''Ask any given sparring partner who’s been in there with him and they will tell you he’s a small heavyweight who fights like a big heavyweight.

“Murat Gassiev – that motherbeeeper hits hard,” heavyweight contender Chris Arreola said of his experience while training with the Russian banger in Big Bear, California.

The two worked in the same gym space for their recent training camps. Arreola was preparing for his December 12 showdown with Travis Kauffman, a fight he won by split decision. The final outcome was disputed, but Arreola’s energy at fight’s end was attributed to the work he put in during his time in Big Bear, also crediting Gassiev as one of the fighters who pushed him in the gym.

“He caught me in the ribs during one sparring session, I just never been hit like that before,” Arreola admitted. “This was a camp I was already determined to leave as a trim and ready fighter, but I knew I couldn’t half-ass it when he was there. Whenever I saw him in the gym when I arrived, I was like “Beep, not that guy again.” But he makes you work in the gym, he makes you a better fighter.”

'Here is another endorsement. World-class cruiserweight Ola Afolabi (who has sparred both Wlad and Vitali among other HWs) proclaimed that Gassiev is a certified assassin. “Probably the hardest puncher I’ve ever been in with,” said Afolabi, a pro since 2002 and a three-time cruiserweight title challenger ranked No. 10 by THE RING.'

S-JAM Boxing said he's the hardest puncher he's ever seen, and that he's seen him up close and personal in the gym and tapes of him doing bad things to top ten HWs in the gym ie. wrecking and sparking them. Just join the dots. S-JAM Boxing manages Joe Joyce, Joyce was trained by Abel Sanchez and he's obviously alluding to the footage he's seen in Sanchez's gym.

There is some difference between how fans evalue A.J fight vs Wlad and from this A.J real options in fights.
A.J had in the ring ring rusty 41 years old Wlad, who weighted 240 lbs vs 250 lbs A.J and this is marquee fight for A.J.
Fans definitely might believe that ring rusty ( 1 year 5 months since his last fight ) 41 y.o Wlad was etalon of agility, prime, sharpness and speed.:p.
For sure he moved like 34 y.o Usyk. + Klit had different style, not even barely close to Usyk's style.

KO power doesn't work only cos size difference : the same Povetkin in prime was not able to stop 209 lbs Huck while being 40 y.11 months old sparked cold 252 lbs Whte and prime Pove version had finished Perez in 1 round etc.
Wlad was not able to finish 225 lbs Povetkin prime version while had finished larger size dudes : 244, 247. 260. ~250 lbs boxers.

Ofc Usyk does have problem : he isn't a puncher or puncher - boxer, he is a boxer.
Still: A.J needed 10 rounds to stop Takam, 9 rounds to stop 39 y.o Pulev, didn't stopped Ruiz in 2 fights, didn't stopped Parker.

Someone thinks that to hit Usyk properly is easier than to hit 39 y.o Pulev version or 41 y.o ring rusty boxer or easier than to hit Takam?

    Latest Usyk interview

He's been doing a lot of crossfit training and by the sounds of it the added weight is here to stay which I'm not happy about. He was perfectly fine at 215lbs and this will only slow him down albeit I think he feels it won't

It has English subs but they're a bit out of sync

Facts, Usyk said in the interview that Gassiev did not hit him clean, could not. And Chisora hit him clean when he was telling referee about low blow.

He caught him clean with a big right hand that slipped through his guard in round 3 or 4 IIRC.

Regarding Chisora catching him. He did catch him clean with some big shots but oddly enough none of the Usyk detractors and critics praised his punch resistance for being able to take big shots from a huge 255lb heavy punching lump like Chisora who does carry serious power in those hefty swings of his.

Well, vs Gassiev and Briedis Usyk looks that was more agile, he sharper changed angles.
Otherwise: Gassiev was more productive and with considerably better gas tank than Chisora ever had in his life.
Usyk's workrate kept him busy without enough time to hit Usyk properly.
Also vs Dorticos Gassiev worked very hard almost all full fight until landed 2-3 very effective body punches, this slowed Dorticos, he landed liver punch and only then head blows started to work enough to get Dorticos down.
While yeah, Gassiev hits far harder than Usyk.
Usyk vs Briedis fight Usyk too had these advantages: agility, speed and am superstar background.
Prime Usyk achieved this, while I think prime Briedis was worse opponent than Chisora : very good gas tank, considerably faster and more agile than Chisora, more versatile technique and more sneaky. This damn a lot compensates size difference, I think prime Briedis version or Gassiev had sparked Chisora cold, Whyte too. They are different boxers and Chisora style is suitable for them + higher 1 punch power.

Will see, what agility level Usyk will have.
Vs Witherspoon at 215 lbs he looked lethargic even before they started to trade punches.
Vs Chisora at 217 lbs? Usyk looked more mobile than vs Witherpoon.

Technically, Joshua only needed 3 rounds to stop Pulev because the fight should have been stopped after 3 rounds when Pulev turned his back and ran away. AJ put all his energy at that moment into finishing Pulev, and it should have ended there.

Fighters aren't always consistent with how well they box and how they box. Styles make fights.

If I remember rightly, Takam was a last minute replacement for the first time AJ was supposed to fight Pulev.

Maybe you think british stoppage had been suitable?
Ppl had paid to watch, they did not get Fury, Usyk, there is Pulev.
Ppl had paid, let's continue beat :)

Don't remember. I only know that Takam is likely considered as not top10 ? and below this Pulev.
Once A.J had been scheduled to fight vs Pulev but something there had happened, yeah and they then did not had fight.
Pulev looks that was ranked under IBF?
Pulev is known more because when he was undefeated and with 20-0-0 pro record he had been given to Wlad, then 38? y.o to fight for a title and enough ppl assumed that he might win cos Wlad was aging and possibly looked lazy and not " hungry ".
Wlad dispatched him in 5 rounds. Looks that then he was not enough old for Pulev to beat up.

There is getting hit and there is "getting hit". Usyk is rolling with most these hits and some also hits his hands, arms etc. Point is most of those are not clean hits. I am not sure if AJ can win if the fight continues till the round 10 or more. Usyk increase the pace and finds his rhythm later in the match (since he has excellent or near excellent boxing IQ in my opinion) and AJ has some stamina problems. That does equal to disadvantage of AJ imho.

Yeah, I'm not too keen on the added weight either - I just assumed that would come back off in camp, but does seem like they are laying a plan to change style somewhat, which is decidely dicey and ill-advised IMO. But have to assume Usyk himself knows what he is doing.

Time will tell, but i've been tipping Usyk to give AJ fits based on angles, speed, mobility and a steadily increasing workrate that has been his trademark. Slugging with AJ I can't see being a reciped for success - but then folks said the same about Fury and Wilder and we saw how that turned out!

Maybe it's smoke and mirros to make AJ think he's giving up his advantages?

This one is gonna get much more interesting the closer it gets (if it happens!)

I'd like to think they know what they're doing but I'm not convinced they do

He's coming at this from the wrong approach IMO. I think his power is sufficient to hurt these behemoths as it is but he should be focusing on using his speed, agility, movement and elusiveness, combination punching and counter punching to beat them. I'm sure he still plans on being defensive but I need to see him hitting the pads, sparring etc. because he looks slower to me and I won't be convinced until he proves otherwise.

That did actually cross my mind but I suspect not lol

I can see this one going the distance.

If AJ goes after him like he tends to do to opponents within the first 5 rounds it could backfire with AJ gassing out and possibly being stopped. That is why I think AJ takes a more cautious approach and boxes Usyk ala Ruiz II, preserving his gas tank and using his size to pile points.

My prediction is we are not getting this fight. It's what I have thought all along. Prove me wrong, Eddie Hearn. Please. I want to see this fight. I've no interest in the other fights that could be arranged.

I with you in this.. I think there is more of a chance AJ vacates than fights Usyk.

The noises Hearn are making are not good.
