Everytime i look up Tokyo Buster Douglas it just shows me Mike Tyson vs Buster Douglas but not Tokyo Buster Douglas. Even on Boxrec there is no guy named Tokyo Buster Douglas. It's strange, can somebody fill me in, im new here. Is he James Douglas's cousin?
This... this has to be a troll post. However on the off chance it isn’t I shall use this as a way to throw a question out into void... “Tokyo” Douglas is the moniker given to Buster Douglas for the one apex performance of his career. “Tokyo” Douglas summoned all his talent, hope, pain, sweat, strength and skill during a perfect storm that saw “Iron” Mike Tyson at his most vulnerable, divorced, unmotivated, untrained and with a gobshite corner team that forgot the endswell and shouldn’t have even been allowed near a ring. Question: What other boxers put it all together for an amazingly uncharacteristic performance... that to say they were better that one night than any other night in their entire lives? My personal favorite is Mickey Ward from the first Gatti-Ward.
he is montreal duran. a point in time when a man is able to put everything hes capable of, into practice, and be the best he is capable of being. a fighters masterpiece, his piece de resistance. the level that validates all his other triumphs, and gives better insight into all his defeats.
H2H p4p #1 boxer in history. Legend has it he only shows up when a fighter reaches peak hype. He draws power from the crushed egos of the boxing world, only to release it when another overhyped fighter comes along.
Not sure which was better... The fight or the constant “When I fought Groves in front of 80,000 people” we all had to endure after...
