So the WBC Lightweight champion just beat past prime, but highly regarded former LW champion Jorge Linares.

Despite Haney having a clear size, age, and speed advantage, he was unable to as much as hurt Linares, or even cut Linares' fragile, scar tissued, facial skin.

So what is next for the pup. Will he be carefully managed and kept away from the top LW and JrWW, or will he be sacrificed?

    Don't see why Garcia-Haney couldn't happen next.

I'd like to see him fight Tenshits Nasukawa.. a very masculine , iron chinned fighter who could really test Haney

Garcia. That's the fight to make, don't really want to see them against anyone else at the moment. Time to start moving off those retreads.

After last Saturday I think they'll keep Haney away from Garcia.

Haney to beat Garcia would have to box a perfect fight. Garcia is faster, stronger and more explosive than Linares.

I wouldn't be surprised if Garcia KO Haney.

Think Garcia’s mental state has probably started to get better after seeing Haney against Linares.

Ryan Garcia's only upside against Haney is his power.

I think he's also more explosive, seems to have better reflexes, better chin, and better killer instincts.

I think Haney is just a better text book fighter, that's all.

I think Haney wants Teo for undisputed & vice versa .

altough I’d like to see Haney vs García.

I doubt it happens as García doesn’t seem to want any of the premium smoke these days.

He should be fighting one of the other young guns such as Garcia or Lopez to unify.

I would like to watch him against Garcia. It would be a good battle of the prospects. I believe both have holes in their games that the other could exploit. Garcia has fast hands with solid power, but his footwork was very basic against Campbell. If Haney sticks and moves. Uses his feet and jab to get around Garcia, I could see him winning on the cards. If Haney tries to fight v. Garcia the way he did when he tried to walk Linares down, Garcia wins those exchanges all day. Garcia's hands are just as fast as Haney, but have much more pop.

It is a very interesting match up.

Tank, Loma, Teo all take out last Saturday's version of Haney.

I think Haney has the right to take a step back and try to improve anything he needs to work on. Only 22.

agreed he should improve it versus García another “only 22 year old” if he is willing.

get to the Bag while improving versus another flawed 22 year old.

    it makes the most sense.

Ryan gotta be willing to dance though. Hopefully he is,
it would be a nice match up.
