If the options are Whyte, Ruiz or Ortiz, I personally would like to AJ vs Ortiz.

I don't see Whyte doing anything to AJ, I don't think Ruiz has earned a 3rd fight, and AJ already fought the previous two, I'd like to see how AJ would handle Ortiz boxing skills.

AJ vs Ortiz would be a very interesting fight, and would be a new challenge.

I don't see Ruiz or Whyte doing anything other than tasting AJ's jab all night.

Ruiz III would just be another dance class , Ortiz would be an easy win (god knows what condition grandpa is in now) so for me the toughest fight for AJ would be Whyte. If I am honest I am not interested in any of them.....

Seriously, if he's not fighting Fury, what legitimate reason would he have for vacating? Usyk is class above any other option.

It would be stupid to vacate if he's not fighting the winner of Wilder/Fury 3

If he vacates then fights Ruiz or Whyte or something thats a clear duck

I hope he fights Usyk but from those three perhaps you're right, at least we'd see him against someone new. Although Whyte would make the build-up entertaining if he did get the nod. He's quite good at taking the mickey out of Joshua.

    Likewise.

Usyk is something different - I have a lot of question marks over him at HW, but it's an intriguing bout and he's certainly worthy.

Whyte has gone off the boil, Ruiz 3 would be a repeat of 2 (boring and one-sided) and Ortiz is ancient with a paper thin resume... I'd rather see him fight Joyce than any of those three (even though he should win that fairly comfortably also).

Ruiz and Whyte as far as I'm concerned are pointless. AJ in his last encounters with them won easily.

If he fights Ortiz he gets no credit at all. Wilder already beat him and his advanced years means to me that AJ will get nothing but criticism for it.

Uysk is the only fight he should be taking that is available right now. Parker is a pointless fight. Hrgovic is an excellent fight down the line but not yet. Zhang would be a joke fight. Yoka isn't ready yet.

    Joe Joyce.

Ortiz is fifty seven years old. Whyte got sparked out by the shell of a pre-Covid Povetkin. Ruiz jr looked average at best in his last outing.

Joyce is on the the wrong side of thirty. Let’s see what he can do in there against AJ.

None of them but if anyone then probably Ruiz seeing as it's 1-1. AJ would beat all 3 easily though I think.

Ruiz now that he's in shape Whyte would just fail again and Ortiz is too old now

If he vacates it’s not going to go well for him at all. He will be ostracized by the press and fans alike.
