Just so you know 'The Bomber' is a nickname and no way associated to the atrocities that happened at the Manchester arena.

It's kind of bizarre that Whyte and Joshua would even mention it, doubt it, or whatever.
Or why it is said like we should care.
Perhaps they wish they had been given a boxer's name, I don't know.
I don't even think it suits Fury, it sounds good but he's 6'8 and nothing like Mike Tyson.
"Fury" is a good surname for a "fighting man" though, to be fair.
"Anthony Joshua" is a decent boxer's name.
"Dillian Whyte" .... nah, not so much.

Anthony Joshua is a decent name for a boxer but not Dillian Whyte. Interesting. What's the difference? Both are bog standard sounding names.

One is initialised as "AJ" which people seem to like. Maybe because of "AJ" McLean or Armani Jeans which is often initialised as AJ. The two syllable thing seems to work for boxing fans who like nicknames.

A Tyson Luke Fury was born in 1988 in Wythenshawe. So i would safely say his name is Tyson.

Why would you name anyone Tyson ? You may as well call them Sutcliffe or Fritzl.

When I worked on a building site, one of the blokes was called Foreman, I thought it was a bit silly being named after a boxer at the time.

He thought he ran the place too.

That doesn’t really mean anything. My girlfriend goes by her middle name and to save confusion her passport has her middle name first as it always is a pain (opening a bank account etc)

That being said, who really cares what his first name is at birth. Each to their own in my opinion.

What about that athlete, Tyson Gay? I bet he gets everyone to call him by his first name.
