I think people forget how hard Roy Jones could punch

Kid Gavilan is probably the last guy in the world you would want to brawl with

Jake Lamotta wasn't a hard puncher. Just because he had some knockouts doesn't change that fact. In general if you have a low ko percentage you aren't a hard puncher. But just because you have a high knockout percentage doesn't mean you are a hard puncher. It could just mean you face a bunch of easy opponents. LaMar Clark would be a good example of this.

Corrie Sanders. His KO% should be much higher for how hard he hit when he sat down on his shots. It's probably a result of being in the mindset of boxing rather than punching for much of his career.

I honestly think that KO% has more correlation with quality of opposition than it does with power.

I agree. I am always surprised when someone is labeled a murderous puncher and then you go back and see the people they couldn't stop. Like Shavers not only couldn't stop Bob Stallings and Ron Stander, he lost to them. Weaver couldn't stop or beat either Bobick brother. Crazy.

Hey John Thomas, is that Greg Page in your profile pic? Heck he was in so many good fights.

Yeah mate great pick up. Unfortunately i couldn't get the whole shot into an avatar. This jab sends Tillis' mouthpiece flying out of his head.

Ola Afolabi, his 1-punch KO of Terry Dunstan is amazing.

Damn, he did. That Page was a freakin' battler. So many good fights he was in. Especially that first fight with Spoon.

I found the Spoon fight terrible to be honest LOL

Page at his best was certainly a fine fighter with a lot of assets. Unfortunately he was very inconsistent and never fulfilled his promise.

I couldn't resist a stab at you on that fight lol.

Sums up almost every 80s heavyweight ever, bar Holmes and Tyson, and Spoon to a lesser extent.

    You cat!!!! hahaha

The only consistent thing with the 80's contenders was their inconsistency. Lots of talent but little dedication or predictability.
