Considering that the best name on sLomo's resume is 35 yo Rigo who jumped two weights and quit without making an effort in an INSULT of match-making, and that he lost to a over-the-hill 12-loss father-figure and a green young lad 6 years younger than sLomo was in the Salido fight, no, I don't think he's an ATG, not in professional boxing. He's the single most overrated fighter this era, I mean at least no one made Beterbiev the P4P king thank god, and when Golovkin lost, he lost to a beefed-up genuine ATG, a level of fighter sLomo never faced, and did GGG really lose? And some still call him overrated, whereas this flashy fella who got handled by some old-arsed swarmer and some punk kid is still on some ppl. still have him on the P4P list?
You really think that everyone here values wins only by surnames on resume like you? I don't value his win vs Rigo highly because he was old and small for Loma. Actually looks that he was only one fighter who was smaller than Loma, yeah.
I believe it depends of what you're measuring. Is him an ATG on skills? Yes. He's definitly one of the most skilled fighters of all time. Is him an ATG on resume? No. Despite him being great, there are too many fighters with better resumes for him to be called ATG here. Lomachenko should stick to the super-feathers. There he has a realistical chance of becoming undisputed champion of the world and make some great fights. At 135, none of the big names will fight him.
Well if you take Rigo off the list, the best win on his resume is um... Jorge Linares? Ouch indeed. Tell me how you enter the HOF without beating a single HOF-er, let alone being considered an ATG.
who wont fight him? cause its at least half a year before any of them can fight loma. who is avoiding him already?
He stayed in the amateurs too long and moved too fast in his pro career and should have stayed at the lower weight. IMO he was not handled properly and had all of the potential to be an ATG.
