A fight should not have any chaos, improvisation, it must be thoroughly planned and executed, thats how germans like it.

It's an absolute travesty that Kage is being persecuted after this kind of barnburner. Just another black eye for boxing.

:D Germans are actually great boxing fans, as passionate as UK fans and they hate this nonsense as much as everyone else

This is not the first scripted fight from a German boxer is it? If I recall correctly Mario Daser also had scripted fights.

The Afolabi fight was dirty - most likely. But there wasn't any evidence so no idea. But Daser went to prison and was released in 2020 (not boxing related).

Kovalev would have done much better if he'd been younger, had a proper camp and a rest from the Yarde fight, and oh yeah, didn't have the weight restriction.

of course. everyone does better when conditions are ideal. if they arent ideal, you decide if you think you can still win. you dont use the less than ideal situations as an excuse when you signed a contract saying you would be fit to fight come fight night. plant had no problem turning down the fight before. canelo fought 3 times in about 6 months. you think thats ideal, given kovalevs excuse?

Kovalev needed money, what can I say?

I'm still not going to pretend Canelo beat anything more than the shadow of a poster of prime Kovalev.

he beat a guy good enough to hold a strap at 175, after beterbiev turned down the fight when they were approached. canelo didnt TARGET a shot kovalev, he was just the next on the list who said he was willing and able. thats the problem when people start blowing smoke up each others ass. it creates a reality that doesnt really exist. recognizing only information thats in line with their feelings. i dont care if people hate him for legit crap, but be real about the real.
