I feel Donaire fairly conclusively proved just there crushing Oubaali that whilst he might be well past-prime, he is most definitely NOT "past it". Pretty far from shot on that display.

    The “wow factor” geez

Congrats on making the stupidest Canelo thread on this forum. That’s a pretty big accomplishment

The biggest wow factor for boxing fans was his so called "ATG snake" at Mayweather weigh in.

Some here may remember the German athletics/track & field sprinter Katrin Krabbe from the early 1990's. She won the 1991 World Championships at both 100m and 200m, iirc. What do Katrin Krabbe and Canelo have in common? They both tested positive for clenbuterol.
That finding basically finished Krabbe's career.
Not that I think the same should have happened to Alvarez, but it's just interesting, the different attitudes around between the early 1990's and today, and the way PED's/prohibited anabolic agents have been almost accepted by many as part and parcel of sports.

Oubaali is a C-level fighter. Donaire beat up an undersized, c level fighter. How does that prove he’s not well past it?

Oobali has literally never beaten anyone of note. His best win is Inoue (not the good one) and an overhyped Raushee Warren? On top of that, he’s French, have you even ever seen a great French boxer? Lol.

Canelo doesn't have much of a 'wow' factor, but that doesn't mean he isn't an incredible fighter.

Fantastic fighter but fellow top 10 P4P studs Inoue, Usyk, Crawford and Loma would all paddle his ass if they were the same size as him and you can take that **** to the bank. And I'm being generous to Clenelo here because there are others in the top 10 I think I'd favor to beat him too.

He'd never been knocked down before AFAIK, so I think it was a great showing from Donaire. Struggling against Ooballi level? Yup then I give you 'past-it', but he didn't and he isn't.

Of course he’s never been knocked down before, he’s never fought any B+ level fighter before, specially one that is a much bigger than him.

I would put Oubali on the level of someone like Rocky Fielding, except Rocky actually had a better record, posed a challenge somewhat with his size and height.

I have no problem with his fighting style. In fact I think he has a great style and happen to agree that its a result of very hard work.

My problem is with all the BS that goes on out of ring with Canelo.
