As someone who grew up "on road" and around ratty gangsters I could read Eddie's plays like a book lol. It really shows how dumb the guys sky put in charge of boxing were. It's similar to how golden boy got taken for mugths by team haymon. But at least DLH had the excuse of being distracted by kitchen utensils and grade A coke straight from el chapo
Johnny Wischusen..used to be head of boxing at MR. Been involved with the sport a long time and is highly regarded. I think the gig is going out to a few promoters, something like it used to be before Eddie got the contract. Theres fighters like Jnr who is now with wassernan, I think we shall be seeing more of him. Maybe McGregor and some of the Mtk fighters will be shown on sky, I know MTK are a touchy subject for the big networks but giving promoters like Steve Wood and Steve Goodwin an opportunity could turn out to be great in the long run. Between wood and Goodwin they have probably 150+fighters. Names like Warrington, zelfa, fitzy they have all come up thru Steve Wood like he did with the three above, promoters like him and Goodwin will have an opportunity to shape and bring through the next bunch of fighters. I think it's a good thing. One that might take some time to develop but theres no reason why sky can't keep a top boxing schedule going
You should start a thread on this pal, I’d love to see the comparisons between what “Eddie Hearns says…” and how a crew of ratty gangsters play the game. Hell of a post!
You're probably being sarky there but what I saw was a classic confidence scam that normally ends up as a robbery or ****. Had the sky boys thinking they were part of matchroom fc while he was simply using them to build a monopoly in the UK and even built up their rival under their noses. Adam smith got cucked extra hard.
Joshua is a Matchroom boxer signed with Sky sports. He has one fight left on his Sky deal after which it’s likely it will be renewed. It will be a Matchroom card on sky box office.
Warren has gleefully repeated ad nauseam that his next fight was his last under his current Matchroom deal too. I can see him remaining with both Matchroom and Sky.
