Dubois is stiff, defensively flawed and one dimensional but he does have his strengths and the Joyce bout was competitive. That's exactly what boxing fans want to see so he shouldn't be dismissed based on one loss to a very good boxer. When you look outside the top 5 or so, it is quite shallow and Dubois wouldn't look out of his depth against most. He's good enough for anybody to take seriously.

 

That he was ultra competitive and ahead on the cards against a seasoned Olympian and world ranked heavyweight? Our definition of bums are polar opposite.

 

How beating an aged club fighter like Bogdan Dinu can confer anything but a pat on the back beats me. I assume Dubois now has to defend that fake strap against somebody with a pulse, not that Fwank won't troll the Balkans and Baltics for another chump.

Yeah and? The fight itself was very competitive whether people want to admit it or not. Joyce's ate a lot of bombs and his jaband engine was just too good for Dubois but Dubois more than held his own as well. A good learning fight for Dubois.

It was a close bout and as I keep saying, this is one of the reasons why boxers don't want to take 50-50 fights, they are unfairly ridiculed by plebs.

No wonder Joshua has only had one 50-50 in his entire career, against old, inactive Klitschko in his beloved Wembley. I don't blame him.

 

STFU you melt! Joyce is likely top 5 and gives ANYONE in the division a serious work out. Dubois is 23, finally under the auspices of a first rate coach and has all the physical attributes required for a world level HW.

Theres no way he's going to emulate the likes of Lewis or even AJ but, there's nothing to suggest he can't pick up a strap at some point and go on to have a very good career.

 

This Ali Drew for Seconds Out is actually a very good interviewer, massive upgrade on a lot of people.

 

She is excellent, asks good questions and generally seems to know her stuff- lovely girl. I don’t want to make it about her looks, but what a little rocket she is to go with it.
