Chisora would probably beat Dubois

Dubois is pretty basic but so is Chisora.. I can see Dubois landing that jab and right hand as he did on a taller rangier and fighter with better footwork in Joyce. With Joyce he ate those punches and kept coming, I don't see Chisora doing the same. You can see it in his face when someone lands that he can't keep coming forward when someone's doing that.. Usyk for example landed straight lefts that had that effect in the mid rounds... Takam did the same (let's be real Takam was dominating until the out of nowhere KO)

I think what troubles Dubois is more so a constant thudding jab in his face coupled with an opponent with an iron chin and irritating lateral movement. Chisora could take Dubois out by just swarming him, but I believe Dubois size and power would be enough to dissuade Chisora from coming in like that. When Chisora feels that heavy jab alongside the right hand and body shots I doubt he'll just attempt to walk him down.

All this said I could easily see Chisora just swarm him, make him uncomfortable and force a stoppage

For someone who always pulls the "he hasn't proven that he can do X, Y Z", "there's no proof that he can beat X, Y, Z", you sure are selective. Completely inconsistent and always shooting yourself in the foot. You're not sharp enough to cover your hypocrisy.

There is proof, however, that Chisora in his near 15 year career, hasn't beaten anyone better than Euro level Takam, and there is proof that he has lost 11 times, of which include Euro level Kabayel and Whyte who the British forum almost ubiquitously refers to as British level (though I disagree).

To take a leaf out of your book, where is the proof that Chisora can beat Dubois? Because Dubois is sure as hell better than Chisora's best win in Euro level Takam, who hasn't beaten anybody in his entire career.

Agreed he has a load of potential that just needs to be unlocked so he can utilise that natural talent. Much like Parker after his first loss, I won't right him off just yet, he's so young he isn't even close to prime yet and he has at least been smart enough to make a change after the loss which Parker wasn't able to do right away.

So hopefully we see some improvements in him in the next few fights. Right now he's just living off of his natural ability and very basic skills, if he could add some more advanced skills, not even high level ones, he could be world class.

Reason why he had problems with the jab is that he really has no defence, his offence is his defence at this point. Which is why Joyce was able to just jab and control long periods of the fight, it's also why Lartey, one of the few guys that fought back vs Dubois had some success. Chisora isn't going to be like Dinu, be backed up and fight Dubois' fight, he'll pressure Dubois and do something Dubois isn't used to doing and that is back up and Dubois much like Wilder when Fury backed him up, is impotent on the back foot as he's never learned to fight this way.

Joyce was pretty conservative with his power punches relying on his jab, Chisora wouldn't be, he'd throw the kitchen sink at Dubois and right now Dubois is there to be hit by an opponent who isn't intimidated. So Chisora will have no problem landing on Dubois, much like how Whyte's lack of head movement saw Chisora tee off on him, Chisora would have similar success with the equally defensively poor Dubois.

Yes the movement of Joyce also gave him problems. Reason for that is Dubois doesn't have good movement. He's light on his feet, even has fast feet and is well balanced, but he doesn't know how to move laterally, to step off when his punches, to pivot to create new angles, he basically moves forward and back in straight lines. Having no lateral movement vs Chisora and backing up in straight lines will see him backed up onto the ropes whenever Chisora is aggressive, which of course favours Chisora.

Doesn't matter how hard Dubois hits with the jab or to the body. Chisora only fights one way, even when he's totally gassed out and vulnerable he plods forward, only time he backs up is when he's hurt and hurting Chisora isn't an easy thing to do, especially if you don't know how to counter punch an on coming opponent. Dubois simply doesn't have the tools to deal with Chisora right now, he has a punchers chance much like Wilder has a punchers chance up against Fury but without the skill set to utilise the power vs an opponent that will back them up, it's a small chance.

Dubois still looks green to me, he needs rounds, experience and that takes time.

It's going to be all about matchmaking, his work with Shane McGuigan and the sparring he is getting.

If he is matched well over the next 18 months, continues to learn and gets some good solid sparring he could end up a very good Heavyweight.

If he keeps bowling people over in a couple of rounds then he won't gain much, if he is bashing up overmatch sparring partners again he won't gain much from it.

It's about a long term plan, a project, but they have once again rushed him towards a high world ranking with a governing body after Dinu and it's not helping, his reputation needs rebuilding not slaughtering.

And a lot of fans will slaughter him, just like they slaughter Yarde and Buatsi, some fans won't tolerate the hyping, the high world ranking and then fights against old fat heavyweights or just poor opponents.

I understand the need to get him back with a "good" win but where now? Probably backwards and that is where the trouble starts again for a number of reasons.

Dubois just needs time, good guidance and a plan, there is no rush, he is still very young.

I think DDD would benefit from some journeyman fights in America. He'd get some rounds under his belt, have some new experiences, and grow into his talent away from the goldfish bowl of the British scene.

Fwank's problem is going to be finding opponents to push Dubois hard enough without posing much risk before a Chisora fight. These type of guys want paid their worth and Fwank doesn't do purses.

Sounds like nonsense to me, just a typical post from Safin. Chisora arguably beat Whyte and got robbed against Parker too. Dubois's best feat is beating Kevin Johnson and he got stopped by Joyce, the same Joyce he had a very close fight with Bryant Jennings. Yes Dubois is very young but still thats all he's done. He could destroy Fury for all we know but until he does more theres nothing suggesting he's any better than Chisora

Read up on Johnny Risko. He could literally lose to, and beat, any fighter in history. He's the ultimate gatekeeper. By my count he had 21 fights vs HOFers.

Actually I think Dubois would probably win.

It's a fight I'd definitely like to see.
