Really want Pac to pull it off, but I just can’t look past the two years of inactivity and his age. Plus the fact that Spence looked brilliant against Danny Garcia. Spence by fairly clear decision. Will be competitive early on though, I have no doubt....but pac won’t be able to keep up with Spence.
I really want Pac to win but I suspect age and inactivity will catch up with him. He'll do well early, maybe even drop Spence but he won't be able to sustain it and keep Spence on the back foot and once Spence is allowed to come forward he'll begin to take over. So Spence will win a hard fought decision to claim the victory but in a way he'll also lose because it will be clear that prime Pac would of beaten him convincingly. It's a no win situation for Spence in that regard but at least he'll be paid handsomely for it and it will give him a name on his resume that even casuals will know so might increase his popularity in a way even a win over Crawford wouldn't do.
Pac's gonna shock Spence (and the world). I'm just not sure if it's gonna be by decision or stoppage. If Pac wins by decision, they'll rob him.
Spence will keep him on the end of the jab and take home a fairly boring UD win. I love both fighters though so I'd love a good scrap but I think Spence will just be too sharp now.
I just hope it is a great fight, and I want Manny to win. It is surreal that in 2021 Manny is still in the biggest WW fight of the year. His longevity at the top is just wild to imagine. I have no hate for Spence (outside of his idiotic drunk driving), and will root for him following this fight, What a joke that Manny is still on top of the game getting the big fights while Crawford sits back, ages, and does nothing,
I legitimately think Spence may stop him. A few things from the Thurman fight leads me to believe this. Revisionist history has it like Pac dominated, he got outlanded by Keith and damn near lost. Keith was also snapping his head back quite a bit, but wasn't following up. He was also landing pity patty shots. There's a lot to look at from this version Pac that can be exploited. And Spence is a brutal grind you down type guy.
Thurman hasn't protested the loss. Thurman came back strong after taking a beating in the first half. The KD made the difference. Thurman is also trickier, hits harder, and a better fighter according to Danny Garcia. But he did say Spence is physically stronger. Crawford's trainer also stated that Thurman was a tougher fight than Spence. Don't write off Pac.
Hard to wrap my head around this point. With his style and the punishment he's taken, he should have been out of the game years ago. He's an athletic and genetic freak.
Keith didn't protest because he's a no excuses guy, he said "I thought I won, but hey, I didn't do enough against the great Manny Pac so it's my fault". I actually agree with you in part, Thurman is much trickier, quicker and at one point in time I definitely thought he was a better fighter than Spence but hits harder, nah. And there's an abundance of proof that he isn't. Keith's power was based on speed and the angles at which he threw and landed. Spence is definitely heavier handed. Tougher is also debatable. Keith needed time from a moderate injury, postponed and postponed and came back against who he thought was a soft touch. Spence nearly died and came back against a former unified champion a top 6 guy. Toughness is a wash, let's say they're both tough. As for what Danny says, I'm sure you saw both fights, Keith definitely befuddled and outclassed Danny, Errol beat Danny up (the first time any of us ever saw that happen) so take that with a grain of salt. Our eyes aren't lying.
Pacquiao does enough to take the early rounds but fades from round 7 onwards Spence does enough to take the later round but doesn't get going until rounds 5 onwards A couple of close swing rounds in the middle. Pac stuns Spence with a few well placed shots throughout the fight. Spence hurts Pacquiao to the body in rounds 8 or 9 Ends in a draw
