Manny sitting on Floyd's shoulders would have trouble reaching Sugar Ray Robinson. At one point he was 128-1-2, the one loss was against someone who outweighed him by 16lbs and that he ended up 5-1 against. Manny might beat Jake LaMotta, but he didn't do this enormous amount of work.
Competition wasn't as good back then. People love holding onto the past. Pac still active. History will have him as the GOAT 20 years from now.
If pac fought as much as srr he'd have 40 loses. Srr is 1000000 light years > pac. A guy who loses to horn will never be the GOAT
Please. Competition back then wasn't as good as today. That's just a fact. Even with today's sports medicine and technology, if you take the most supremely conditioned athletes like prime Pac, prime Floyd, prime Golovkin, or prime Clenelo, they wouldn't be able to fight elite opponents more then 2X, MAYBE 3X a year. It would be physically impossible. If Clenelo and Golovkin fought even just 4X in a year, one of them would be a vegetable. You look at SRR and he fought 14X in one year. That's physically impossible unless the opp was terrible. Even Clenelo right now couldn't fight 14 guys in a year even if they're all Rocky Fieldings. Crawford and Spence couldn't fight more than 3X in a year against each other before one is sent into a coma.
Pacs best win is MAB man stop! He never beat jmm clearly in 4 fights and got put into a coma by him lost to a faded erik Morales drew with Sanchez got ktfo by a no hoper lost to Bradley lost to a bum in horn and lost the biggest legacy fight of his career wide against pbf. That's no GOAT he's not even greater than Moore let alone SRR. You're talking blasphemy log off with this GOAT talk it's disrespectful and casual fanboy talk.
Don't duck my argument. Here, we will use Floyd since that's your boy. We can agree that Floyd is one the most well conditioned athletes in the history of sports. But Floyd even at his absolute peak would not be able to fight 14X in a year unless the comp was horrible. It's physically impossible. Another example – MLB pitchers in the past would throw and throw until they couldn't anymore. Pitch count didn't exist to them. In today's game, you have absolute monsters and workhorses like Verlander, Scherzer, and deGrom getting tired around the 6th/7th inning and around 90-110 pitches. No one can tell me that Cy Young is actually a better pitcher than any of these guys.
And Floyd or any current boxer is lesser than those greats. If they had modern nutrition and training they would be monsters. It works both ways. These guys are the best of the best for a reason and neither pac nor pbf is in their class period.
