Hopefully will be against a decent opponent. Anyone got any ideas who it may be if its a defence of the European? With Joyce coming off the momentum of the Dubois win and him turning over so late, I feel every fight needs to mean something and do something that takes his career forward. A fight against a no mark that he will steam roll won't do anything for him.
I hope it is a decent name but at this point he needs ring time to remain active. If he blasts his opponent away hopefully his next one will be scheduled quick - moving into world level.
Pity Joe is stuck with Frank. Eddie would have definitely lined in up with a bigger fight after his win over Dunois. He's not getting any younger and needs moving to bigger and better things- not some shite card with Frank
So bored of reading nonsense like this. WBO ordered Usyk vs Joyce for the interim. Usyk team rightly stalled incase Fury/Joshua fell through IF Joyce had taken a different fight he would have lost his position. The winner of Joshua vs Usyk will have to face Joyce as mandatory assuming he beats who ever in July
I can't see the winner of AJ/Usyk fighting Joyce next. What about the 2 proposed fights with Fury? That's another year gone there
Will probably be marcin siwy h fury is in the top ten ebu rankings. I wonder if they would take that fight if offered? Someone like fury could cause Joyce a lot of problems
The handlers winner of Wilder and Fury won't allow their guy fight the winner of AJ vs Usyk. The IBF (likely Hrgovic) and WBA (Hunter) will be called bwfore WBO again. That's said the WBC will probably protect their champ from Whyte again and mug him off with the WBO being called before that.
Joyce was always going to struggle to get big fights- regardless of who his promoter is. I don't think Frank is to blame here at all. His personality, age, and the danger he poses all make sure of that. His only route to a title is climbing the rankings, let's face it no one with a belt or a name to protect is going to pick him as a voluntary are they! If you play the rankings game, you have to be patient, and accept that even when you get the position you are never really 100% guaranteed a fight, although this varies a bit depending on the governing body in question. Who knows how old he will be, or in what shape he will be in if/when he does get the chance? I'm a fan of Joe, I actually like his awkward no nonsense style. and prefer it to a lot of other boxers. I hope he gets a good fight in July and makes the most of his talent as a pro- he's very, very good and would cause a lot of fighters including AJ and Fury huge problems in the ring!
Not sure if you are brand new to the board or you are reincarnated from a different user name but either way you post some good stuff mate.
Thank you mate, I had been visiting the board for a while just reading, only started posting last year for the first time, this is my first and only username. I've followed and been around boxing for the best part of 20 years one way or another, nice to find a place with some good, intelligent discussion makes a change from a lot of other places
