The measure unit Is Holmes. He got up with Shavers but not with Tyson.

Very flawed logic. Holmes was smack bang in his prime for Shavers, and in much better condition. The reason why Tyson you the stoppage isn't pure power, it's speed, timing, skill and finishing ability, with a version of Larry in front of him who wasn't half of what he was vs Shavers. According to common opponents, we can deduce that Foreman both hits harder than Tyson, and doesn't hit as hard as Shavers. On top of the other holes in your argument, Holmes did actually get up vs Tyson

But tyson didn't knocked him compleltely out, he just managed to put him down 3 times, thanks to the fact that:
-Mike Tyson was infinitely better than Shavers in term of skills and a much better finisher.
-Larry Holmes was pretty much done when he fought Tyson, and was a lot easier to hit and catch than the one who fought Shavers.
-Style make fight, and a pure, limited head hunter like Shavers is a very easy prey for Holmes, but a pressure fighter Like Tyson was to Holmes what Joe Frazier was to Ali: a very tough matchup. (Though It's also the same vice versa).
Then again, Holmes isn't the only one man who rank Earnie higher in term of power.
James quick Tillis said the same thing.

Ok, good disamine, Tyson was a better finisher, had a better timing etc etc. Agreed, all right but..what i would like to know is considering a single punch who between Tyson and Shavers hit the hardest? Because imo the blow that knocked Golota down for example and that destroyed his face and herniate his neck until a vertebra was broken was much more powerful than the Shavers right hand that dropped Holmes.

The thread is not unreasonable. If somebody had somehow measured the two and it came out that Tyson was ahead, let's be honest, not too many people would be shocked.

Well that may have had something to do with the fact Holmes was prime when he faced Shavers and well past prime when he fought Tyson. Also Shavers felled Holmes with one shot - sort of lightening in a bottle and couldn't follow up effectively while Tyson beat on Holmes for awhile before finally landing the coup de gras.

This thread is certainly unreasonable. The premise that Tyson hit harder than Shavers ISN'T unreasonable but the reasoning OP gave in this thread is downright laughable and embarrassing at best, and more realistically vague and disingenuous.

Both Holmes and Ali were 38 when they got stopped. Anytime before then...uh-uh.

Holmes was well past it against Tyson and was landing more hits than Shavers

Larry Holmes when asked,,is Tyson the hardest puncher you've faced, " no he don't hit nothing like Shavers."

Maybe, who cares? Tyson is much better finisher and that's all that matters. It's not like either of them lacked power to stop any guy when connected cleanly.
