Happy about this. Sky usually put the fights they show up on their YouTube channel within the next day or two of them happening, so even the fights that aren't worth staying up for, should be available to watch on a good stream without waiting long.
I would be shocked if they would go near MTK, Sky as a whole’s main priority is now preaching PC nonsense while constantly telling you your racist.
No sport is better at brushing things under the carpet and forgetting they don’t exist than boxing. All it will take is a few months of quiet, a bit of a rebrand, a well known trusted face/stooge at the helm and nobody will bat an eyelid if the ‘new’ MTK signs a deal with a mainstream broadcaster like Sky.
Exactly. There’s a reason why Sky all but gave up acquiring these American fight nights. Reeks of a desperation move to stop boxing fans cancelling after the Matchroom announcement.
Confused why people on twitter seem unhappy about this. Yes it's 5am. We live in a world where it's simple to record and watch Sunday morning. More fights is not hurting anyone
They may not have the rights to do that though. Anything they've filmed themselves is their call, if they're showing Top Rank's content they may not be able to sling it on their YT channel.
Exactly. It's why most Sky boxes have a record option, now I can watch the big fights on a proper big screen TV either live or recorded rather than on an inferior laptop.
SKY must have had palns for a while now as its been common knowledge that Matchroom were leaving I think this Top Rank deal and maybe a sauerland deal will fill the gap
