Will warren be willing to put his hand in his pocket for a yoka type?dont want to see him fighting cabbages in the meantime.
Have to agree, I don't post here much but read the forum every day and really enjoy your posts Donald. Twentyman you are up there too mate.
If Joe wants to get the big fights he should consider the Shannon Briggs blueprint - Show up at AJ, Fury or Whyte's training camps and press conferences shooting his mouth off and shoving people, also acting a twat on twitter would help
Ortiz has rocketed up the new WBA ratings despite boxing just 1 round since losing to Wilder. He’s obviously being positioned for a final WBA eliminator with Ruiz Jnr. Shame as Ortiz would be a decent stay busy fight for Joyce at this point.
I am hoping all the British title fights that got rearranged land on this. Maxwell vs Ennis Brown Caccace vs Woodstock Jenkins vs Essoman Also got Steven Ward vs Jack Massey as an eliminator
Spot on this. Joe doesn't have the natural charisma to wind people up and get them to fight him. They tried that with Chisora when Joyce was managed to Haye. I wouldn't say he's a natural ticket seller either. It will be a long road to the top for him, hopefully he gets there.
Joyce is the real loser in all this isn't he. Essentially frozen out of the world title picture for 12 months at least. He needs to fight Whyte. They're both in the same boat and the fight would do mega bucks if marketed right.
Sam Jones does, and will continue to do, all the talking and hype for Joyce. Joe is a bit of promoters nightmare in the sense of his personality and style don't sell well, but he's highly effective. I hope he gets a title shot at a time when he can still say he was at his best to take it. It would be a shame for him to look back and think the politics and way of boxing denied him.
I'd say Joyce has a very fan friendly style he just comes forward and throws lots of punches, think politics with the belts being tied up will taper his career. He's still a very likeable guy, can see people maybe getting behind him provided he is in entertaining fights i.e going the route of Dillian Whyte. He's already got a lot of kudos for stopping the Dubois hype train, I just hope he's matched to keep the momentum and profile going rather than tickover fights waiting for a shot.
I'd really like to see that. Think the styles would gel really well and it would be really entertaining. I'd probably make Joyce favourite too.
