    I was never a huge fan of his, but I am sad to hear of this rather early passing.

    RIP Laing, gone to the ages now.
    Should have gotten more credit for beating Duran, (although i agree with most that Roberto had a bad year after the 2 leonard fight) when he was alive.

    He had more that enough credit for beating Duran especially from the brits. He just didn’t capitalise on it for whatever reasons.

    I remember reading years ago that he was suffering from mental health issues....The article talked about him and Frank Bruno who was also struggling

    He could pass knowing his name will never be truly forgotten. This is the greatest prize and I wish his loved ones well my sympathies for everyone who loved him.

    Just seen this. Very sad news.
    An extremely talented guy, who just had a lot of hard times thrown at him.

    Whatever Laing showed up it was always value for money.
