Sucks to hear Derev will be out of commission for the remainder of the year.

He could be named the unluckiest fighter today. Every one of his fights were razor close decisions but none seemed to go his way ,did they

That might be the best thing for him, a long break, see if there are any opportunities early 2022.

I wish the man well, hopefully the break does him some good and we see him again.

He should, especially after 2 back to back wars with GGG and Charlo and taking a lot of damage from those fights he should definitely take a break for now. He needs time to recover from those fights. Guy is a warrior with a nice style. It’s just unfortunate that he’s been unlucky 3 times and ran all of them close.
Hope he comes back and rebound. Really enjoy watching him.

He started poorly in all 3 of his 'big' fights. I thought he was good enough to win a trinket, seems not but with a bit of luck you never know, could still maybe do it, against the right opponent. I thought he could have got the judges nod against GGG but I thought Jacobs and Charlo were both rightful winners.

He should retire. He’s been in some wars and had had a very long amateur career. It’s not like the sport has been too kind to him anyway

He should've gotten a W or draw from that GGG fight smh.... that was a career-best performance.

Good idea for him to do so. He took a beating from Charlo and looked totally spent. Perhaps he hangs'em up??

Big props to the man, as he faced the best available opposition. He could've gone the 30 0 path, beating tomato cans.

Sure. If he had fought bums in row, he easily might had racked record like 30-0-0 ( 30 KOs).:) Fast, 1st - 3 rd round stoppage wins in long row.

He needs a few confidence building fights adnd to help with his ranking.

Narrowly losing good fights is one thing, but its not going to get him big fights again.

Big fights usually are getting current or proposed ( future ) cash cows or relatively easily beatable formerly enough well known or at least highly ranked boxers in order to help develop cash cows to turn into bigger cash cows with proper matchmaking and cherry picking.
