Don't know why he's so incessant about getting europeans over with inflated undefeated records rather than solid gatekeepers. Surely even casuals know that these two "undefeated" LHW's are certified puddings, Anthony Yarde's opponent is a SMW who's only fought bin men what's the point.
Let’s be realistic, he didn’t think they were risky fights. He expected Yarde and Dubois to destroy the other 2.
These cards are getting like WWF Superstars of Wrestling from the 80s, where if you were lucky you’d get one “low/mid ranked fighter getting a shot” and a handful of entertaining knock overs to keep someone’s name out there. Even more so if there turned out to be some storyline beef between Yarde and Arthur as the evening progressed! eg. Like when Bellew defended his cruiserweight title on Sky just to have a staged argument with Haye... pair of them laughing all the way to the bank ever since.
McCann says TBA and Khusanov has absolutely nothing to suggest he’s a step up, fake padded Eastern European record. His opponent has had 5 fights (and lost 2 of them) in nearly 8 years before that he was operating at super welter. I know there’s triangle theories and these things don’t work sometimes but he lost to someone who got beat by British middle weight Andrew Robinson - Liam Williams stopped him in 1, Heffron stopped him in 6. Doesn’t look promising at all, I think it’s an opponent to simply make Parker look good and will KO him in the first half of the fight.
He must be being sarcastic I don’t get why Frank can rarely make a solid fight outside his own stable. Surely Yildrim, Angulo or truax would have been more notable and simple enough to make.
Hearn just sends to America as a sacrificial lamb once he is done with them...9 times out of 10 they are smashed to bits.
Could this card be better? Yes. However, I can't criticise Warren too much, as the Dubois Vs Joyce and Arthur Vs Yarde fights were two of the best fights of the last year, and I didn't have to press the red button and fork out the price of a Dominoes for the pleasure.
Think he is a step up from that Murdoch he fought in Manchester. Dennis McCann is fighting John Chuwa, who was KO'd by Tommy Frank in 7.
He may not have much room for manoeuvre? Matchroom went in to lockdown with cash in reserve, doubt the same could be said for queensberry. These fights will not be at full capacity and testing will have adds to costs.
