Kovalev wasn’t great and I (like most) felt he decisively defeated Ward. Foster would probably beat both on the same night.
Not to pick on you, but Zarate handled Davila’s silky skills and Rodolfo Martinez’s skills with relative ease. His mastery of the basics and skill are overlooked due to his absurd KO %.
I wouldn’t say most??? this is not definitive of all fans but EOTR has 60% disagreeing that Ward won…but with draws it is about 50/50 which seems the norm http://www.eyeonthering.com/boxing/pound-pound-sergey-kovalev-vs-andre-ward-i
I didn’t particularly feel picked on lol. I like Davila and Martinez but it wouldn’t stop me from picking (I am in the minority, but I like that position TBH) a Jeff Chandler type to beat Zarate, even though I rate Zarate slightly higher (Zarate is in my top 10 BW’s but I disagree with the top 5 he sometimes get placed in)
Good fighter. I liked his performance (begrudgingly) against Chandler. And Duarte as well. I think Gaby would always beat Sandavol (yet Chandler beat Gaby…not that you are referencing that) and would also pick Orlando and Lora over him as well. Although by the time Jeff fought him his eyes were shot and he likely would lose to any top contender that night. I don’t say that to minimize Sandavol’s performance in any way…not only did he beat Jeff he did it in an emphatic manner (partly due to Jeff), but he was top notch and threw a near shutout. At his best Richie is a tough night for anyone. edit: Poor grammar lol
Andrew is talented enough to last the distance but one touch of Foster's power renders him ineligible to win. Bob by UD.
I suspect Foster either gets him via KO or a wide decision after Ward goes on the defensive and spoils his way to the distance.
