I don’t particularly agree with him, but he made a better argument than one might think he could. In any case it’s an opinion and he’s entitled to his own, rightfully or wrong.

He is 10000000000000000000000000000000000000 time better at cherry picking his opponent, most definitely.

I don’t call winning belts in 5 divisions and beating over a dozen current or past champions ( including a few HOF’s) cherry picking. Sure there were a few guys in the 20+ years he fought pro that he could have faced but the same could be said about almost anyone who’s at the top that long

People were up in arms when Ali declared himself The Greatest.

    Time is a flat circle.

Well, it's his opinion, he's entitled to that. But anyone that has any knowledge of the rich history
of boxing know that opinion isn't close to the truth. My opinion is he's more of a carnival barker than
the G.O.A.T. Especially the last 10-15 yrs of his career.

Yeah Brian, Chuck, Jean Pierre, Richard, Alfredo and Leon...

As mentioned, I too do not agree with Lil Floyd, but there are better arguments to use than cherry picking opponents.

Winning belts in 5 division gives him the right to be called a great fighter. Nobody is denying that.
BUT, he unquestionebly ducked Winky Wright, Amir Khan, kostya ex...
He did not fight a single universal top 10 contender at welterweight in 2007, he fought the light welterweight champion, but of course, made him come to welter.

He did not fight a single universal top 10 contender in 2008
In 2009, Floyd did not fight a single universal top 10 contender at welterweight. He did fight the lightweight champion at 144, and Floyd then came in overweight.
In 2010, he finally fought a welterweight contender, #5 Shane Mosley, who was nearly 40. He bypassed the top 4 contenders.
In 2011, he fought #3 welterweight contender Victor Ortiz, but bypassed the top 2 contenders.
In 2012, Floyd did not fight a single universal top 10 contender at welterweight. He fought the #4 light middleweight contender.
In 2013, Floyd actually fought a #1 light middle contender, Saul Alvarez, but of course he made him fight at a catchweight. He also fought the #5 welterweight contender, but as always, bypassed the top 4 welterweight contenders.
In 2014, he fought the #9 welterweight contender TWICE, bypassing the top 8 contenders.
In 2015, he fought #2 Manny Pacquiao, using illegal IV’s, while the same commission denied Pacquiao legal treatment for his shoulder. To top that off, Floyd fought unranked Andre Berto, ignoring all 10 ranked contenders.

And finally, for his 50th win, he fought a complet amateur in Mcregor.

Really if you look at the P4P best boxing has ever had both Mayweather and Ali have a tough time cracking top 10.

I have two words for you, maybe it's actually three:

    Jean-Pierre Coopman.

Every champ cherry picks once in a while.

I disagree with this whole heartedly. Although both when compared with some don’t have much fluff on their resumes. Ali probably fought the toughest most talented roster of any fighter ever. Just having Liston, Frazier, Foreman on your ledger is impressive. Add in Patterson, Quarry, Bonavena, Lyle, Shavers, Terrell, Folley, Moore, Cooper, Williams, Chuvalo, Norton (and more) it becomes absurd.
As far as Mayweather goes what he lacks in schedule/opponents he makes up for in domination of said contenders. To this day I’ve never seen a man so good at hitting and not being hit. Both are in my top ten but I understand if you don’t have them there it’s a loaded field.

    1. He didn’t fight anyone In 2008 because he was retired from 2007-2009.
    2. Ricky Hatton was considered an outstanding fighter that many wanted to see fight Mayweather. And spent his career fighting at a weight class that was two divisions HIGHER than the one Mayweather started in.
    3. Just because Amir Kahn called him out does not make it a legit challenge as khan kept losing to every decent fighter he got in the ring with.
    4. Despite being 40 years of age, Shane Mosley was still one of the top 3 best welters in the world.
    5. Alvarez meeting Floyd at a catch weight is overblown by the critics. In his previous ten fights canelo’s weight ranged from 149 to 154. He fought Mayweather at 152... what’s the problem? Can we talk about how Floyd was about 12 years OLDER then Alvarez ? Or how he had to gain 4 lbs to compete in a weight class that he had only fought in maybe once before ?
Incidentally Canelo has been universally recognized as the best in the world p4p in the several years following that fight adding to Floyd’s legacy. How many instances in boxing can you think of where a predecessor beat a future great successor of that magnitude ?
    6. Who was Maidana ranked #8 by ? Ring ? If that’s the case then you should consider that the ring ranked Floyd top 10 p4p for about 15 years and #1 p4p for maybe 6 or 7. You’d be hard pressed to find many other greats who had that same feat.

    7. I didn’t know that about the pac fight so I’ll take your word for it. But whatever.. Floyd was nearing 40 at the time and had only been fighting maybe once annually for the past several years. Anything he did beyond that point is icing on the cake. The Mcgregor fight was a novelty match for money In which Mayweather came out of a two year retirement for.
