    Yes

If Vitali can become a HOF with a horrible resume then almost everyone can become one

I was into Povetkin before it was cool and after it was cool, before it was cool later on. And no. He is not.

Unfortunately for Povetkin I don’t think he’ll make it. He had multiple opportunities to prove himself the best and couldn’t pull the trigger for various reasons.
When the negotiations to fight Wlad Klitschko were first heating up he allowed Teddy Atlas to humiliate him by saying he wasn’t close to being ready.
When the klitschko fight finally did come to pass, Sasha was simply too small to overcome Klitschko’s size and mauling, grappling tactics. It’s not fair, but that’s the way the ball bounced.
With Joshua, again he was undersized and at this point older and past his prime.
With Wilder, he tested positive for some type of PED. It may have been a gray area (I think it was meldonium that had been legal in Russia up to that point), but it gave Wilder a legitimate reason to back out and many fans approved of Deontay’s decision.
Povetkin will have to be content with having made good money and an excellent, but-not-HOF-worthy career.

Well, this stuff is not indirect or direct roid, this just is with some effect like L carnitine ( legal in US ).

I don't think that someone besides boxing fans cares about HOF and ATG stuff at all.
Now MMA stars and YT stars are earning a lot and HOF etc is just decoration here.
    U sell?
Okey, f********* belts and record and ranking **********.
Pro boxing is ONLY entertainment business nothing more.

Was a badass smaller hw for a few years in the mid 10s. That guy h2h would be a problem in any era but tarnished his rep with his last outing although pushing 42 and a recent covid patient he should have hanged them up. Despite this I think he's worthy of hof given his overall resume is a who's who of the late 90's, 00's and 10s scene, plus he was a decorated amateur of the highest calibre.

He never tested positive for steroids.

He allegedly had a microscopic amount of something that had recently been banned, a supplement that was NOT a steroid. Some powerful promoter and his friends at VADA wanted to give Wilder an excuse to not fight Povetkin.

Meldonium is not a steroid, it is given for heart (to handle stronger trainings).Later they said they made a mistake beause the decision for banning the substance was taken without knowing for how long it is left in the body (actually it was a political decision, no time to study it) and it's ok to have it at some level because it can be from before the change. But first they test him negative for it, making it look like his body is clean from Meldonium, then before fight with Wilder - positive with 0.0000001mg left, like he was taking it after it was banned, no way he was taking that almost useless "doping" when he knows the date of test and taking it just before it.No logic in that. The only logic is someone saved Wilder.2 times. His team were telling they have results from independent laboratory in Switzerland, but noone wanted to hear them.

If every boxer can be put into the HOF then it will be worthless.

His resume is good enough but he lacks the world title credentials. If he held a belt and fought the exact same schedule I think he gets in. However without a world title he probably won’t get in. The heavyweights that are in are all pretty deserving. I say he is borderline but leaning on the outside looking in.

    Nope.
First and foremost. he's not famous enough to be in the hall of fame. Add to that he never won a major belt, and he was busted for roids (they all use, but being busted means you can't even pretend to be clean)

No. He would have needed a signature win over a top level opponent. He never quite got there.

I think he should. He's been fighting and winning at the top level for so long. The only guys he lost to were at the very top level and of course Whyte post covid.
