Spence: I Don't Want Anything To Do With Thurman, He's A Cornball, I Can't Stand Him

    I don’t pay attention to it. He can fight [Yordenis] Ugas. He ain't going to get a fight with me … It’s just how he is. He’s just a cornball to me. I just can’t stand him.

    This may seem silly, but the main thing I'm interested here is: 1. why did he call him a cornball, 2. what does that mean?

    I know the term corny means something particular in the African American community and I never quite understood completely what it meant, so can someone explain this to me? Why is he calling Thurman a cornball, what does that mean?

    What's this? So Spence can pick and choose his opponents? Did he explain why he chose not to fight Terrence Crawford then?

    Thurman seems to come across like he is trying to be some sort of ancient Greek philosopher or something. Not sure if that is what Spence meant. Either way Thurman is nowhere near the same fighter he was when he fought Garcia and Porter I think.

    Such a stupid reason to not want to fight someone. "I'll never fight him, because I dont like him!" So do you only fight guys you like? Ridiculous. Jermall said something similar about Andrade.

    Would pay hundreds of dollars to see Keith KTFO Virgil the clown in a street fight. Couldn't be happier to see an overrated bull**** artist like Hunter fade into nothing.
