Thinking about this upcoming match and the outcome of the first 2, what tactic or skill do you think Wilder should be focusing on to close the gap in the 3rd match? Whether or not you believe that he will win or lose.
    I'm torn between:
    1. Learning to throw combinations, jabs to the head and body, and not relying almost exclusively on the massive right hand.
    2. Learning how to press forward and put Fury on the backfoot.
    3. Learning how to fight moving backward, lure Fury forward into a counterpunching opportunity.

Wilder is too long in the tooth to learn anything new.

However i think as i have stated previously that Wilder must be explosive from the first bell and relentlessly keep on hitting anything above the waist of Fury and hope he connects with Furys mandible at some point.

Follow Rocky Marcianos philosophy of it is more tiring receiving a punch than it is throwing it, like a ice hockey player Wilder has to keep throwing the puck at the net and by doing so hope one will go in.

Will the above approach work it may or may not, but sure as hell if Fury is given opportunity to take the initiative then repeat of Fury/Wilder 2 will be re-enacted.

I agree that intensity will have to play a significant role. I also wonder if Wilder can learn enough/improve enough to compete with Fury once he puts pressure on Wilder. It's a long road to hike, considering that just a year ago he dismissed even having to learn boxing skills.
It seems like he never had a real camp around him to tell him the truth.

Given his chin is made of the finest china, I'd recommend avoiding every punch.

    :deal:

Actually, in the last fight, he was dropped with a cuffing body shot too. Dear god. He's in trouble.

All of those things are fantasy. Wilder could train for a year or even two years to be capable of doing those things and the second Fury punches him in the mouth they will all go out the window.

It takes years of training to develop good habits and an even longer time to break bad ones. The minute Fury connects with a solid shot, Wilders muscle memory activates and it’s going to be the same show. The zero fundamentals show, the windmill show, the excuses show.

Must have faith in his power at all costs. He now knows what to expect from Fury. Catch him coming in.

He needs to KO Fury as quickly as he can. He can't let the fight go the distance.

Be like water and don't fear the man in front of you.

Wilder should come out swinging...he knows, or should know, he can knock Fury down; he's already done it twice. DO NOT TAKE A STEP BACK. Fury thinks he owns your soul; show him he doesn't.

Paying judges won't help If Wilder gets knocked out.

That's probably true. At the end if the day, he has one brilliant thing in his arsenal and several below average ones. He'll always look to fall back on the crushing right. I was wondering if he could pull the jab back from the memory hole of the 1st Stiverne match.
