I think the only fights the public will be interested in featuring Conor if he loses again would be a third match up v the ever popular Nate Diaz or a boxing match v JAke Paul, so will he retire if he gets beat by Poirier again?

I think so. But I also think it won't be a permanent retirement. I think he'd eventually come back, like you said for a Diaz trilogy fight or a freak show fight in boxing.

Those two fight with Nate and Conor were so freaking epic. The first bout was the ultimate 'Scream at the TV and jump up and down in disbelief' ending. And the rematch was a suspenseful, punishing fight to the finish line.

No. Diaz III would still be huge.

    Any fight would be huge.
He could step away for a year and come back and do a mil buys again.

If Conor looses, he will likely step away. But him being relatively young and having his kid train in martial arts, I don´t see how the itch wouldn't come back.
I would be amazed if this is the last we saw of him.

How many years of his prime do you think he has left?

If he is in his prime, then this is it. If he changes his style then he might see another rise.

I think his body is about to slow down and the MMA game is passing him by. It's a sport that evolves at a rapid rate. Just look at his last performance.

I think you never know with UFC and MMA in general. He could hint he's retiring then end up fighting for another 10 years.

I think his ego will keep him coming back for more even when he's long past his sell by date.

He could copy the Mayweather playbook and retire for x amount of time and come back.

Fights he could have in the future could be Diaz III, Mayweather II, more UFC fights and more Boxing circus fights. He'll always have the fight game there to make him money.

I think Floyd might be done. Dude is 44 and has had some significant wear and tear. Plus he was already barely fighting in his 30s.
He looked to be in great aesthetic shape vs Paul, but I don´t think the conditioning was there(he barely let his hands go).
But Floyd looked rather uncomfortable in the ring and was clearly unhappy with himself post fight. Against McGregor, it would be an actual fight in terms of the rules, buildup and overall setup. And I don´t think he cares to go through that again in hopes of maybe getting a similar payday again.

I can see Floyd doing 1 or 2 more exhibitions in the coming years, but I doubt he will have anything to do with an actual competition.

Dana and Conor could still milk a couple of cash fights from PPV with Him v Nate 3 and T Ferguson.

After getting beat by Poirier again? Usman would destroy him if he can`t beat Poirier, I don`t get your logic, Usman is elite.

I think they could still sell Ferg V Mcgregor, the trash talk in the lead up, plus ferg has been rag dolled something mctapper isn't capable of doing to him.
