If Wilder actually beats or KOs Fury it will go down as the greatest HW redemption of all times

From a purely in-ring comeback sense, I would put this above both Louis v Schmelling or Patterson vs Johanson.
I know most people will still rank Louis vs Schmelling higher, but they are looking at it from a sociological, pro war, anti Euro perspective....from a purely boxing standpoint, it was a great redemption, but certainly not the greatest ever

Wilder was dominated by Fury, an enormous HW in his current prime, then he was forsaken by the fans and left for dead by the media. Almost no one is giving him a chance in the rubber match. Those were certainly not odds that Louis faced in the rematch, many people even expected him to get the run back against Schmelling.

Wilders only real chance is a big right hail mary.

He's not going to outbox Fury, he's been completely outclassed in a boxing sense in both fights so far... That power is an equaliser, but it's his only path to victory.

For me, a somewhat flukey KO win in a trilogy that all honest fans would still have as 2-1 to Fury doesn't really carry much redemptive weight.

TL;DR - no, not even close.

Langford's KO over Wills is the greatest HW redemption story ever.

No because it would be 2-1. Fury has proven and it's quite evident he is the far superior boxer. If you give Wilder enough rounds he'll land a big right hand because of his reach speed and athleticism (to a degree) and basic statistics.. I could see Wilder landing it but he doesn't deserve to be a world champion with such an embarassingly pathetic skillset and relying on one punch.

The best thing Fury could do is knock him so unconscious that he is no recollection of being a boxer so he could no longer fraud the public like he had been doing for 40 fights under the Wilder Protection unit WBC

Yes, it would be the biggest redemption in history considering the complete skill an all round better fighter Fury is in general

Wilder could beat anyone in history with enough rematches. That's the biggest reason I hate this trilogy so much. It proves absolutely nothing that we don't already know. Fury is the better boxer and the better fighter but Wilder can still KO anyone with one shot. What is the point in rematching until Wilder finally lands that shot?

No. If Christopher Lovejoy regains the WBA top 15 ranking he once had ... that would be the greatest HW redemption of all time.

Let him actually do it first. Fury knows the ko is Wilders only way to win and hence he is going to be fully switched on to ensure there is no lucky punch on offer.

Wilders challenge is to find a way to disguise it and to set it up and choose, mix up his punches unpredictably

Cut it out. Despite your opinion, the record books show a Draw. Two knock downs in two separate rounds gives him a 10-8 for each respective round. Its not unfathomable that he got an additional 2 rounds out of the other 10 rounds in the fight.

    No, it would be 1-1-1.

And Wilder would start the series as WBC Champ and, if he wins, end it as WBC/RING/Lineal Champ.

I wonder how many times Wilder will knock Fury down in the third fight?

It will help that his left actually works this time.

Needs it to set up the straight right.
