I hate it when people like you say a death is "hardly surprising" We all going to die one day, tomorrow isn't promised to no-one. Just say r.i.p and keep it moving.

...and what sort of people are “people like you” exactly?

I am pretty certain Len was just referring to the fact that Lang was a well known addict and meant nothing derogatory in his comment. He was an addict during his career and really fell apart after it, I think many of us are surprised that he lived as long as he did. It's a really tragic story, all of it.

I wouldn't mind but this guy probably never saw Kirkland box and wouldn't know him from Adam.

    Yup.

No harm intended from Len, he was just speaking what we all knew about Kirkland, but you always get one who knows nothing, and never attempts to gather or borrow a thought before they respond.

Very sad news, but not surprising sadly.

Randy Turpin over SRR is a strong candidate for sure however what a victory it was for the gifted Laing.

How much of a shock was Laing beating Duran? Was it Tyson/Douglas level or not such a big thing?

Bunce should be ashamed of himself. The man is a complete tool.

The one fight that Kirkland fought to his true potential. Even an 'off' Duran was better than quite a few opponents Laing lost to.

    FYI:

"the most common meaning of tool in slang terms today is an epithet for a dull, unimaginative person with pedestrian or outright obnoxious views or a tiresome and grating personality".
