Golovkin smashes him up. There's a reason Canelo dithered all those years at 154, and then 155 and then vacated the 160 belt rather than face Golovkin. It's because he was levelling up using that Mexican cow meat and waiting for GGG to show some weakness. The Brook fight is the one that convinced Canelo that he could take on Gennady.

Canelo had been working a while on the gameplan he used against GGG in #1 and it would have been a good one if he'd managed to throw more punches. Make Golovkin a year younger and Canelo a year less jacked in both preparation and physicality and I think GGG catches up to him and puts the result beyond doubt. Not saying he'd stop Canelo because ginger - let's give him credit - has an absolutely iron chin, but I think he'd have landed even more and bigger. Enough to put the decision into lynch mob territory if it was called a draw or loss.

What we've learned from the other topic is that GGG fans aren't interested in having a boxing debate. All they're interested in is pretending like GGG beat Canelo when he failed twice.

If GGG fans still think he WON both matches when they actually fought, why would you expect GGG fans to think Canelo would win a year earlier when GGG was closer to his prime? These imaginary games that GGG fans play is funny, but you sad bitter GGG fans can cry all you want - nothing you can do can undo what happened when they fought. Canelo beat GGG and that's the end of the story. All this crying is funny though, let those tears pour out!

Lies lies lies. I gave you every opportunity to go punch for punch in the 11th round of the rematch, YOU REFUSED. The first time they fought I didn't have it as wide as Byrd did, 115-113 or 116-112 was reasonable, not 118-110. I had no problem giving GGG rounds 5 & 7-9.

 

Haha they don't cancel each other out on here. It's a GGG fest around here. Keep in mind Canelo already beat GGG in real-life and polls of who should have won either match are lopsided in favor of GGG. People call those a robbery, what does that tell you? When fans are calling a close fight a robbery because GGG didn't get the decision you know there's a fanboy problem going on. GGG fans are some of the most bitter and insecure boxing fans we've ever seen. We tried to have a punch for punch debate over Round 11 of the rematch in the other topic and GGG fans were shown to lie about punches, saying GGG punches landed that were blocked, saying Canelo landed punches "may have been parried" lmao then when called out on it wouldn't even address the punch in question. We're dealing with a fanbase that is in total conscious denial of what happened when they fought. They're a fanbase of entitlement who thinks GGG just has to show up and fight and there's no way he could lose. Canelo disproved that myth and GGG fans are forever ravaged by it.
