Far dues, im very happy at those two appointments. Heard Laura Woods is going to join, hope so. Hope Paul Smith is kept on to do co comms with Costello.
Maya Jama and Woodsy are certainly improvement in terms of eye candy over annoying anna. Costello is decent and I know I go against most opinions on in liking Bellew. I can't recall much of Andy Lee as a pundit, what's what's general opinion? No sign of Froch and Nelson makes me happy.
The signing of Costello is a fantastic move for DAZN and all but confirms that there will be some type of BBC tie up (unless he bins off his 5Live show completely). Hearn threw a bit of shade at Adam Smith when the announcement was made. Laura Woods will be the lead presenter I presume- not entirely sure where that leaves her with Sky and their football coverage.
Not too bad aside from Bellew. You can see from the comment section on twitter that his repeated inclusion is becoming a bit of a running joke. Embarrassing 'fake mates' stuff and horrible biased analysis. Great.
In fairness he is one of Eddies best pals and is actively on the Matchroom payroll. He was a shoe in to be on the team. I actually wouldnt be surprised if we eventually see him hosting press conferences etc for Matchroom as they expand as he does the job of selling to a casual fan base
Just had to ruin it with Bellew didn't they. Gets where water doesn't. Laura Woods is decent on darts and footy. Maya Jama will be just handed a script like Anna Woolhouse was. All the blokes bar Bellew are good.
Thats what i think. Frank Smith is meant to be a great operators but isnt a salesman. Bellew can do that well and Hearn knows he can trust him.
