Everybody has pretty much pointed out the reasons why Canelo is hated. I find it sad because he really has developed into a fantastic fighter and he's a pleasure to watch for his all round skills - if only one can forget the rest of the BS. At least his fight with Saunders was on the level and he's gotten rid of Oscar de la Spoona. Maybe the future is bright.
This would be the best scenario. It deserves to be brutal for Canelo tainting this circus show of a sport. However I have no doubt Canelo will secure the conditions needed to win the fight because he can never fight on a level playing field
Because he beat GGG. GGG fans world was wrecked by Canelo and they're still bitter about it. Anyone who isn't a raging GGG fanboy sees Canelo for what he is - the best thing to happen to the sport, the biggest draw and the fighter of this generation.
Boxing fans are just haters in general... Anybody who has success draws the ire of at least one set of fans. This is true of any sport, but it seems exaggerated in boxing perhaps due to the weird tribal/ethnic angle we've got going on. Truly some weirdo **** (none more weird than the "pacroid"/"roid mayweather" ****ery that prevails on other forums). Fighting Beterbiev would be a G move from Canelo and actually BEATING him would be legendary. The man is a monster.
You know what I said is true, and the whole premise of attacking Canelo is a means to defend GGG. By attempting to discredit Canelo, it's a way for GGG fans to rationalize what happened when they fought.
