i didnt think canelo could take beve back then, too hard, too unyielding. i make him favorite now. he has demonstrated the power to hurt a man as big as beterbiev, and he is entirely too easy to hit for a fighter of canelos caliber. it would be a sustained beating ending in a brutal stoppage. i know people will think "yeah, right. he couldnt put away smith but hes gonna mash beterbiev". but beterbiev is going to be exactly where canelo wants him to be, for what he wants to do. of course that element of danger is always there. this is a serious and dangerous dude, lots of things can go wrong. thats why im getting wood just thinking bout it.
I like him I liked him more for the way he called Andrade on his ****. I found him more funny and entertaining than normal.
Anything is possible but he would have to hit Beterbiev right on the button for it to happen. I have seen how easy it is to clinch Canelo up and Smith and Saunders managed to slow him down and hit him on a break so I think Beterbiev can do that too. It is part of his MO and he needs very little space to generate power so I think he can really hurt Canelo with short hooks and uppercuts on the inside. On the outside Canelo can counter him to the head but body shots are not really a big factor here. Beterbiev's comes in low and still has enough movement where it is hard to hit him to the body. This is an attrition fight.
yeah, i dont think canelo can one punch ko him. thats why i see a sustained beating before he crumbles. canelo is just too hard to hit clean with power shots. you can catch him with quick snappy punches, but he knows when your weight is on the back foot. and he aint exactly fragile himself, ggg aint asking too much from beterbiev when it comes to power.
Hmm an uncharacteristc succinct post from the Shadow...however deluded & far from the truth as usual. I dislike the antics that have surrounded Canelo , whether directly by him or his (at the time) management team, he still went along with it plus the drug cheating ,,, it sendless really. Plus he give Shadow of a real man the inspiration to post vast sheaves of unmitigated bollox...

He has achieved a lot & made his family wealthy , well done...but not a great success or incredible athelete by "Normal" standards ,unless Drug cheating is OK? No a greaat or incredible story of rising from extreme poverty & also caring for the communitys from whence they came would be more like , benfiting the communty , building Schools, funding Hospitals, building Churches & running for public office to help...2 great men to achieve this staus Roberto Duran & Manny Pacquiao....Canelo comes no where near these selfless guys....
Hmmm possibly I think Beterbiev punches much harder than GGG though, but GGG is a better puncher with more variety. GGG would struggle to KO alot of LHWs who have a size advantage over him whereas we know Artur's proven power which also carries late into a fight too. Beterbiev is a bigger version of GGG and has less miles on the clock and a better preserved body. Hence why I think Canelo really struggles with him.
