Aged? The dude turned pro at 28-29 and has 16 fights while always being 2-3 divisions apart before canelo even thought about testing his skills in the higher weight classes. Canelo isnt afraid of anybody, and even bringing up the best guy in the division whos an undefeated beast, proves it. The "Canelo waited for him to get old" tag line is way overblown.
He does beat any version of Beterbiev and you know it. The ONLY thing Beter has over Canelo is strength. Canelo has speed, skill, counter punching, head movement, waist movement, parrying, chin, explosiveness, reflexes, experience, talent, and everything else. Let's bet 100 dollars.
Canelo is making therapist a lot of money. All these Canelo haters are likely paying big money to talk to shrinks every time he fights.
If you are stretching the limits of the art of the possible for Canelo then this is the opponent we all want to see. He could win this fight yes. I personally think that Beterbiev hits like a truck and will wear him down. I think Canelo's chin cracks this time around. This isn't an alcohol ravaged Kovalez in there who always had vulernability in the ring. This is the man at LHW at the moment. A very big test for Canelo, and if he comes through it this will be his career best win IMO.

While Canelo really is highly skilled and very good boxer, accusations in WESTERN internet had started LONG before even 1 st fight vs GGG had been scheduled and this then did not had any kind of possible connection with GGG fight or GGG. For example Canelo had beat small for his size Cotto and had used Khan for his title defense fight, I think this was an insult to boxing, imagine what ppl might had post if 175 lbs division boxers had been used by Okolie or Briedis for their title defense fights? This really might look funny and still this is Canelo legacy: to use Khan for MW title defense fight and it is Insult to sport of boxing. No excuses here. So at first start to seek mythical Canelo haters and insecure ppl from this and also from fight with 36 y.o Floyd Jr. Canelo had fought at 175 lbs vs Kovalev who barely had dealt with Yarde, had been wrecked up by Eleider in their first fight etc alike signs of decline. While at least between Eleider I and II fights they had timeframe approx 6 months unlike for Kovalev vs Canelo fight. I think Bivol could be more difficult, but I think if Canelo steps up, he legit decisions Beterviev though it will be called a robbery by many in any case. I see this fight as a legit risk at 175 and Canelo's stock would rise with me were he to accept this fight and get a legit win.
Yup, I would give Canelo mad props. I can see Canelo winning every round against Beterbiev but Beterbiev's power and knockdowns will swing the fight. If it goes the distance I can see Canelo narrowly scraping by. However, I think Beterbiev legit catches him, staggers him and finishes him off. No matter how good Canelo's chin is, you cannot take too many power punches off a guy like Beterbiev and not have it affect you. Logic usually trumps most fights. You cannot hide from the truth and what reality is and many boxing observers have forgotten this.
I suspect that this will be Plant cos then he might be an Undisputed in all division. Gvozdyk I think had legit won vs Beterbiev IF he was able to walk till cards. Who will win fight vs Canelo in US if fight will go till cards I have no doubts: Canelo will get decision win. Canelo does have ground to be suspect and all his career is suspicious as hell. He does have some very suspicious judges cards in fights vs Trout, Lara and Floyd Jr too, also he does fight in few places in US. In some of these stacking is allowed and Canelo never had fought as a pro in europe or eurasia, this does matters damn a lot. Damn a lot and till this he is only home town fighter and not more worth than Ottke for example for me.
Canelo could totally get ktfo. No doubt. I see this fight alot like Ward fighting Kovalev. A legit win by either party gets my respect.
Funny that looks most likely he had fought vs prime shape Kovalev in ams. I should check this, I'm not sure. Prime Kov did not had fought vs Gvozdyk or Beterbiev in pro ranks, while Beterbiev vs Usyk am fights are widely available by simple gooling in less than 3-30 seconds.
